Jungkook’s POV:Sunday afternoons are usually quiet—a rare chance to catch up on work without the constant buzz of the office. Today, however, the silence in the apartment feels stifling. I glance at the clock—nearly noon—and realize that Eunjoo hasn’t come out of her room since last night.
I don’t think I said anything wrong yesterday. She needed that lecture. But why hasn’t she come out yet? Is she trying to make me feel guilty about what happened?
Ha! That’s not going to work on me.
But isn’t she hungry? Why is she starving herself? She’s mad at me, right? So what’s the point of punishing herself by not eating?
I sigh deeply. So immature.
A few hours later, as the afternoon sun starts to wane, I hear the sound of the door unlocking.
Finally!
I mean, it’s not like I’ve been waiting for her to open the door. I just don’t want people thinking I starve my wife to death. Overall, it’s not my business whether she eats or not.
I focus on my work on the laptop as she walks toward the kitchen, rubbing her eyes, still in her pajamas. Her messy hair suggests she just woke up. Seriously? She slept all day? I was overthinking, wondering if I went too far yesterday, but she seems totally fine.
She starts to make tea.
She looks up, and our eyes accidentally meet. She quickly looks away, awkwardly rubbing her arm.
It’s clear she’s uncomfortable. Anyway, I should focus on my work.
Suddenly, I hear someone entering the main door. I glance at Eunjoo, who already looks confused.
Tan rushes inside, shouting, “Mummy, I’m back!”
I looked up, surprised to see Taehyung following behind. “Hello, husband,” Taehyung says with a teasing grin that immediately grates on my nerves.
I close my laptop and stand up, trying to mask my irritation. “So, why are you here at this hour?”
Taehyung starts to explain, but Tan interjects, “We’re here to take Mummy out for dinner!”
“Dinner?” I ask, puzzled.
“Yes,” Taehyung confirms. “Tan wanted her to join us.”
Eunjoo emerges from the kitchen and, upon seeing Tan, kneels down to hug him. My gaze shifts back to Taehyung, who’s watching with a smirk.
“Do you have a problem?” Taehyung asks, looking at me with that annoying grin.
“No, let’s go together,” I reply.
