Hey Babies! Sorry for this late ass update. When I said I was going to update on Saturday, I literally got a phone call right after that about one of my family members.

And I needed to take some time away from my phone for a bit, to care for them.😩🥺

But... everything is okay, and they're doing better.

This chapter is a little filler.

I hope you still enjoy🫶🏽

And

Thank you for baring with me!

Enjoy!

OMNISCIENT |

As soon as Amahle's flight touched down in Atlanta the next morning, she could hardly wait to get off the plane. After the chaos of the previous night and the long hours of travel, the thought of seeing Jey again was the only thing keeping her going.

When she finally made it through the terminal and out to the pickup area, there he was, leaning against his truck with that familiar grin. Jey's eyes lit up the moment he saw her, and he pushed off the side of the truck, striding forward to meet her halfway.

Amahle barely had time to drop her bags before Jey swept her into his arms, holding her tight against his chest. The relief and happiness in that embrace were palpable, a silent testament to how much they had both missed each other.

"I told you I'd be waiting," Jey murmured into her ear, his voice filled with warmth and affection.

Amahle smiled, pulling back just enough to look up at him. "And I'm so glad to be home. I missed you bae."

Jey's grin widened, and he leaned down to kiss her, a kiss that felt like coming home. When they finally pulled apart, he took her bags and tossed them into the back of the truck before helping her into the passenger seat.

As he climbed in beside her and started the engine, he glanced over, his hand resting on hers. "Let's get you home, baby."

With that, they pulled away from the airport, heading back to the place where they could finally relax and be together. The journey back home was filled with easy conversation, and laughter.

Jey reached over and grabbed her hand, lacing their fingers together as he weaved through the Atlanta morning traffic on 285. They were 15 minutes away from their exit, but traffic was so thick it was at a stand still.

Jey softly sighed as he stopped behind the car that was in front of him.

"Ugh, I don't miss this traffic," Amahle huffed lightly, earning a chuckle out of Jey. He rubbed the back of her left hand with his thumb. Her hazel eyes adverted from the window and over to him, with a small smile on her face.

"But, I'm happy to be here with you," she added, he turned his head and smiled at her. "I'm happy to have you back here with me, mama."
