"Morning Uce," Rami aka Sami greeted, joining me on the treadmill next to mine, his usual easygoing smile in place. I nodded back, focusing on my pace, but my mind was still tangled up in everything from last night.
Rami adjusted the speed on his treadmill, settling into a steady jog. He glanced over at me, noticing my quiet mood. "Everything good?"
I shrugged, keeping my eyes straight ahead. "Yeah... just got a lot on my mind, man."
Rami didn't push right away, which I appreciated. That's one of the things I liked about him-he knew when to give space. But after a few minutes, I couldn't help myself. I needed advice, even if I wasn't ready to spill the full details.
"Hey Uce, hypothetically," I started, keeping my tone casual, "How would you handle it if someone was messin' with someone you cared about? Like, if you found out they were trying to dig up old dirt, tryin' to get in your head?"
Rami glanced over at me sideways, his brow furrowing. "Hypothetically?" He asked with a half-smile, but I could tell he knew it wasn't just a random question.
"Well, I'd want to know exactly what I'm dealing with first. If someone's playing games, they're trying to get a reaction out of you. The key is not giving them what they want but staying ahead of them."
