AMAHLE|
Recap
We found a comfortable spot to sit and watch the sunset, the sky painted in hues of orange, pink, and purple. Jey pulled me into his lap, wrapping his arms around me as we watched the sun dip below the horizon.
"This has been the perfect day," I whispered, feeling a deep sense of contentment.
"It has," Jey agreed, pressing a kiss to my temple. "And it's only going to get better."
As the sky darkened and the stars began to twinkle, Jey shifted slightly, his heartbeat quickening against my back. "Amahle, baby..." he said softly, his voice trembling with emotion. "Remember what I asked you this morning about being mine forever?"
I turned to look at him, my heart pounding. "Yes," I replied, my voice barely a whisper.
He took a deep breath and continued, "There's something I need to ask you properly."
Before I could respond, I noticed movement behind us. Turning around, I saw our families approaching. My mom and brother, Jalani, were there, along with Jon and Trin, and Rikishi and Mama Talisua. Jey's oldest son Jaciyah and youngest son Jeyce were also with them, all smiles and excitement.
I frowned, confused as to why they were here, "What...?"
Jey gently guided me to stand up. He held my hands, his eyes locked onto mine, filled with love and determination. He got down on one knee, pulling out a small blue velvet box and opening it to reveal a stunning diamond ring that sparkled in the fading light.
