It didn't take a genius to realise that Chloe charming was upset lately. She was always happy and smiling over everything it reminded Red of Bridget from the past but with a lot less pink, but for the last week Red noticed Chloe never smiled anymore. She was always sad. Red worried about the girl more and more as days went on, she doesn't even wear her bright blue clothes anymore she seemed to have switched to dull colours like black, brown and beige.

Red didn't think too much of it until one day when she returned to the dorm after Art class to see Chloe skipping Maths to throw out her light blue clothes and shoes.

"Hey chlo... you okay?"

Red approached with caution, unsure of the reaction she may get if she didn't. Placing her art supplies under her bed Red slowly entered the walk in wardrobe.

"Chloe?"

The blue haired girl was frantically throwing things in bin bags mumbling things to herself that Red couldn't hear. Red placed a hand on Chloe's shoulder gently though it still made her jump.

"Oh hey Red, what's up?"

Red gave the other girl a quizzical expression.

"I was going to ask you the same thing? You're throwing away all your clothes? It's your family's signature colour!"

Chloe gathered up all the clothes she'd thrown around placing them into the bin bags.

"I thought it was time for a change! I whole new colour palette."

Red smirked to herself deciding to test the waters.

"Neat. Maybe I should do the same! I would look great in gre-"

"NO!"

Both girls eyes widened in shock. Chloe because of what red was saying and red because Chloe yelled at her.

Chloe walked over to Red placing a hand on her cheek.

"Red, you're perfect just the way you are... don't change for anyone."

Red looked into Chloe's eyes. She was scared. Something was definitely wrong here.

And there was also that time that had Red seriously concerned for the blue haired girl.

The two were walking into the cafeteria for lunch, Red leading Chloe over to the table with all the food when suddenly Chloe stopped her. Her eyes wide and frightened.

"Suddenly I'm not very hungry Red maybe we can go back to the dorm?"

Red laughed it off telling her it'll be alright but Chloe only seemed to become more frightened the more they walked closer to the table. Pleading and begging with Red to not go.

Red followed Chloe's scared gaze over to a group of boys or specifically one boy. Nate Jackson. He walked passed them looking at Chloe.

"Hey Charming."

Something in his voice was weird. It wasn't a normal hello and Chloe's actions said that and more, her nails digging into Red's arm.

The next day Red had gone to watch Chloe's tourney practice only for the blue haired girl not to be there.
So Red went back to their dorm opening the door to a girl spray painting a skateboard Playing Rock music really loud, Red feared she would lose her hearing.

Who was this girl in their dorm? She had black hair with purple highlights that was clearly freshly dyed, she was wearing a black sleeveless t shirt with a black pleated skirt and fish net tights with a few chains hanging from the skirt. Red didn't know this girl but she liked this girls style.

Closing the door Red tapped the girl on the shoulder causing The girl to turn around with a shocked face, Red equally matched the look realising she did know this girl. It was Chloe.

Chloe with a nose piercing but still Chloe.

"CHLOE!!?"

She watched the girl make a terrible attempt at rolling her eyes since it wasn't in her nature to look down on anyone.

"It's CC now!"

Red snickered turning down the music.

"Okay sorry CC I didn't realise you were such a rebel and I'm sorry but Avril lavigne?!"

Red listened to the music slightly impressed by the taste in artist the other girl had decided to listen to.

"You listen to her all the time, figured I'd give it a go. And what?"

Her voice had a harshness to it. Venom spilling from her deep purple painted lips. This wasn't the Chloe Red knew and loved. This wasn't the Chloe Red had fallen for, not that Red doesn't still love her now even with the changes she didn't care if Chloe decided to become a hippie or a homeless person she would still love her all the same.

However that didn't change the fact that something or someone had happened to make Chloe spiral and Red had a feeling she knew exactly who was to blame.

"NATE JACKSON I WILL FIND YOU!!"

Nate was the most popular guy in school. A total jackass to everyone who wasn't his friends or his mum, likes to make people feel below him even though literally everyone is better than he is.

Red wasn't sure if she was more mad at the fact Chloe was being bullied by a small minded, dimwitted man or the fact that Red didn't notice that Chloe was being bullied. Either way it fuelled her enough to not hesitate as her fist made a dent in the taller guys face.

Once

"THATS FOR BEING AN ASSHOLE"

Twice

"THATS FOR MAKING ME MAD"

Thrice

"AND THATS... for Chloe."

Teachers and students were now gathered around the scene. Watching as Red continued to hit the boy, watching as Nate cowered back into the wall shaking.

"Look at me."

Nate looked up at her holding his bloody nose.

"You will leave Chloe alone from now on. You will not go near her, speak to her or even say her name. I will not hear of you bullying anyone ever again do you understand me Nathaniel?"

Red raised her fist, pulling the boys head back by his hair, staring at him in the eyes threateningly.

"I said... do you understand!"

Nate nodded as best he could with grip Red had on him.

"Y-yes I understand I do I promise!"

Red looked at him squinting for a moment, satisfied with his answer she let go of him watching as he ran away from her clutching his face.

Red moved her gaze from the boy to everyone in the hallway. How long had they been there? Her focus on Uma who had her hands on her hips. Red walked the walk of shame as she approached the woman.

She had expected a punishment. Explusion. Suspension. A beating even but nothing came. Ima just smiled.

"Don't worry Red. Relax, untense yourself. You're not in trouble, he deserved it. The only person I want you to worry about right now is your girlfriend."

Red looked behind Uma, seeing Chloe standing idly in the middle of the hallway, even with the new look Red would notice her first in a crowd full of people.
Red didn't have the energy to correct Uma in saying they weren't dating she just nodded slightly giving Uma a smile and walking towards her best friend.

"Come on princess. Let's go celebrate with a movie and popcorn!"

Red took Chloe's hand in her own, not caring about anyone that was staring at her. Just walking down the hallway, her and Chloe feeling like the only two people in the world.
