Jir's POV

Step! Step! Step!

I slowly walk in front of Kib's door. My face is sweating, and my palms feel soft. I can feel nervous, but unlike last time, I  know who Kib is, so it should be smooth sailing from here.

I take off my supercode after the conversation with Kum inside her room.

Right now, I'm wearing blue overalls with a white shirt under it and black shoes. My hair was tied in twin tail style since I wanted to make myself comfortable to talk to Kib without restraining myself with my supercode.

See,

I always need them to preserve my mana and to keep them in check. Technically, I run the whole city with my supercode on my body. The only downside, though, is that it will drain me enough, and depending on how long I was powering up, that's how long I'll be knocked out.

That's right.

If I spend the whole day burning my magic like wildfire nonstop, then chances are I won't be waking up for a few days, maybe an entire month. The more magic I burn, the more likely I will be out of commission.

And with that in mind,

I doubt any of the adults will allow that. Well, except for the founder, but then that'll bring more problems than solutions since the group will be divided rather than equal. There's also the fact that they can 'force' me to do it, but then there's the fact that Kum will not let that happen no matter what.

Ah!

Shoot, I'm stalling, am I?

Let's see,

If I remember correctly...

Flashback...

Kum and I were sitting on her pink bed full of books since she plans on reading them once we try our best to cheer the two duo. But Kum intends to use the whole day to convince them not to feel down.

Oh!

Speaking of Kum,

Kum was wearing a black shirt that said 'bad girl' with a heart with devilish horns and a pointy tail at the end of its behind. She's also wearing a pink skirt and a pink jacket, which are cute and feminine. However, the right sleeve is lowered, and her right shoulder shows her bare skin. At any rate, Kum also wears heart-shaped earrings and a necklace shaped like a heart.

Yup,

That's a girl who loves her romance books. Kum doesn't say it, but wearing those things makes her feel like a girl who has a cute side.

And,

Truth be told, I do think she has a cute side that has only been shown to a few people, such as her friends or family. Only on her days off does she dress like this, which I find cute in itself.

"This time, I doubt Tao will be cheered up due to Kibi's depression. Chances are, we both will fail today, but knowing Kibi, he will take the chances and listen to what you have to say. Tao talking to me, on the other hand, is next to none, but I can somehow convince her to talk; then I could try to tell her that things will be alright once Kibi calms down in a few days." Kum explains.

Makes sense.

"So, I suppose that means we're sticking with our old plan? I'll cheer up Kib while you cheer up Tao, I mean." I explain.
