Chapter 7

Alia POV

The next morning, I slowly opened my eyes. As I fully woke up, I was greeted by Micah's face. I took a moment to admire her beautiful and attractive features. She had her arms wrapped around me, so I carefully removed her hand from me to avoid waking her up.

I washed my face first before heading to the kitchen. I had decided to cook breakfast for Micah and me.

When I opened the fridge, I was surprised to find that we were out of food, I hadn't done the grocery shopping yet. Luckily, there were still five eggs left, so that's what I decided to cook.

While I was cooking, I also made coffee for the both of us. I toasted some bread as well, so we wouldn't just have eggs to eat.

Micah POV

When I woke up, Alia wasn't beside me, so I quickly got up to wash my face. After using the bathroom, I thought Alia might be in the kitchen, so I headed out of the room.

I immediately saw her cooking, so I approached her. "Hi baby, are you feeling better? Did you sleep well?" I asked as I back-hugged her and rested my chin on her shoulder.

"Yes, I feel better now, thanks to you," she said and turned to face me. I kissed her on the cheek. "nakakarami ka ng kiss sa cheek, huh," she teased. "baka nakalimutan mo, you're still courting me," she added with a smile.

"I just want to kiss you eh," I said. "Let's eat," she replied, taking my hand and leading me to the table.

"baby you should rest today, baka mabinat ka" I said. "eh kaya ko naman, and magisa lang doon si shanian" she said.

"ay antigas ng ulo, you should take care of your self" I said, "Tell shanian to close the shop for now" I added. "sayang naman yung kikitain ng shop today" she said. "don't worry babayaran ko yung kita n'yo ngayong araw." I replied to her.

"you don't have to, oo na sige na po mag rest na'ko today" she said. "I'll send a message to Shanian later after we eat. okay na?" she added, and I just nodded.

"What time aalis ka?" she asked. "Uhm, maybe after we eat. I'll just take a shower and then I'll head out," I said. I noticed the sadness on her face after I said that, so I stood up from my seat and went over to hug her.

"Hey Ali, don't be sad," I said, gently stroking her face. "Can you stay here with me?" she asked.

"You're being so clingy, baby," I said. "I can't stay right now, I have a lot of paperwork to finish. Maybe if I finish early, I'll come by later," I added.

"Really? You promised me," she said. "Yes, I promised," I replied with a laugh. "You're such a baby," I added, pinching her cheeks. She just rolled her eyes. We continued eating.

I took a shower and decided to wear the same clothes I wore yesterday. I'll change at the office since I have suits there. After getting dressed, I left the room.

I saw Alia in the living room watching TV, so I approached her to say goodbye before I left.
"Hi baby, I need to go now," I said.

"Okay, but remember your promise," she replied. "Yeah, make sure to rest here, okay?" I said, and she just nodded.

"Bye, Micah. be careful driving, okay?" she said. "I'll be careful. Bye, baby," I replied, kissing her on the cheek. I left right away to avoid traffic.
