Sophia's pov
My life has been a living hell since the day i lost my both parents.

I had to just start a new life with my Aunt and her family in Lagos and to be sincere, life wasn't easy a bit.

I hardly eat a three course meal like the rest talk more of sleeping in a comfortable environment.

I had to manage to sleep on a shabby mat in a stuffy deserted little room.

At times when i remember my parents death, i blame myself. I blame myself for letting them go easily and it really pains me deeply.

"Sophia!!! " I hear my name from the sitting room as i rushed out to see Aunt Racheal in fury.

°Oh my God Sophia what did you do again? °I thought to myself in fear.

"Sophia! Sophia! Sophia! Sophia! How many times i take call you" Aunt Racheal asked still wearing that look.

"Aunty ehm......

" What have i done to you ehh Sophia?"She asked with hands akimbo.

"Better be answering me sharp sharp cos my hand no be for fancy" She added lifting up her left hand.

"Aunty nothing" I answered when immediately a slap landed on my cheek making me hold my cheek as cloud of tears formed in my eyes.

" You carry mind. Rachael you have chop sh*t. So Sophia you carry mind thief my money ehh kwa?"Aunt asked leaving me confused because i didn't take any money.

"So this is how you repay my care for you all these years ehh . No wonder your parents left you, everybody come deny you cos say you be CURSE child. You dey lucky say i manage pick you sef" She said as tears rolled down my cheeks.

I know that i'm nothing near that, my parent never for once regretted having me and now........ they left me to face this heartless world.

"You are nothing better of a fool" She rein insults on me as she continually beat me with anything around her.
