Not after they returned from the warehouse.
Sophia’s heart pounded in her chest as she stood before Mr. Lee. His presence filled the room like a dark storm, drawing her in even as every instinct told her to run.
She wanted answers, needed them, but being alone with him felt like standing at the edge of a cliff, unsure if she would fall—or be pushed.
“Show me, Lucian,” she said, her voice trembling but steady. “Show me your world.”
° I don't know why i'm really doing this. But i feel it's the right thing°
His eyes narrowed, glinting like shards of ice.
“My world?” he repeated, a dark smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
“Do you even know what you're asking for, Sophia?”
She straightened, meeting his gaze. “I’m tired of being kept in the dark. I'm tired of the drama. If you want my loyalty, then trust me enough to show me the truth.”
° I'm damn serious°
Mr. Lee's smile faded, his expression hardening into something darker, almost predatory. “You think you’re ready for the truth?”
“Yes,” she whispered, her voice barely audible, but her eyes never left his. “Yes, I am.”
° From the scratch, i knew you were far from ordinary. Guess i was right. °
He tilted his head, studying her with an intensity that made her skin prickle. “Very well,” he murmured, his voice as cold and smooth as polished glass. “But understand this: once you see my world, there is no turning back. You will be bound to it—and to me—forever.”
A shiver ran down her spine, but she swallowed her fear and nodded. “I understand.”
His gaze darkened. “Then follow me.”
° I knew there were places in this house i've not yet being to°
Without another word, he turned and strode out of the room, his steps eerily silent.
Sophia hesitated only a moment before following him, her pulse racing as she trailed him down a dimly lit hallway.
The walls seemed to close in around them, and shadows clung to every corner, thick and heavy.
They entered the study room. Then he opened a door leading to a hallway making Sophia gasp.
They reached a narrow door at the end of the hall, ancient and weathered, as if it had existed for centuries.
Mr. Lee placed his hand on it, and Sophia felt a strange, unsettling energy pulsing through the air. He pushed the door open, revealing a staircase that spiraled down into darkness.
“Are you certain?” he asked, glancing over his shoulder. “Once we descend, there’s no guarantee you’ll come back the same.”
Sophia’s heart hammered, but she lifted her chin. “I’m certain.”
He gave a brief nod and began descending, and Sophia followed, each step taking her deeper into the unknown.
The air grew colder, thicker, almost stifling, and she could barely see Mr. Lee’s figure ahead of her, swallowed by the darkness.
° Why does my feelings alway feels right? °
At last, they reached the bottom of the staircase, and Mr. Lee raised his hand. With a flick of his wrist, the room flooded with a dim, eerie light, revealing what lay hidden beneath his home.
Sophia’s breath caught as she took in the scene before her.
They were standing in a vast chamber, ancient and otherworldly, lined with towering shelves filled with books and artifacts that seemed to hum with dark energy.
Strange symbols were carved into the walls, and a cold mist curled along the floor, swirling around her ankles.
Mr. Lee’s voice broke the silence, low and dangerous. “This is the world I live in, Sophia.
A world bound by secrets, blood, and ancient power. A world where loyalty is not a choice—it’s a necessity.”
She shivered, her eyes wide as she took it all in. “And what are you in this world, Lucian?”
He turned to her, his gaze piercing. “I am its master. Its ruler. Its judge.”
The words settled over her, heavy and chilling. She felt as though she were seeing him for the first time, truly seeing him—this creature who was far more than a man, who held power beyond her wildest imagination.
“Why show me this?” she asked, her voice barely a whisper.
He stepped closer, his eyes never leaving hers. “Because you asked for it, Sophia. Because you wanted to know what it means to be mine.”
She could feel his breath on her skin, cold and unyielding. “So… am I just another possession to you?”
Mr. Lee’s gaze darkened, his hand reaching out to gently touch her face. “You are more than that. Much more. But don’t mistake this for kindness, Sophia. What I’m offering you is a bond forged in shadows—a life in darkness.”
Sophia’s heart raced, a mix of fear and something else, something dangerous and thrilling. “And if I say yes?”
His fingers traced her jaw, leaving a trail of ice in their wake. “Then you’ll be bound to me forever. Body and soul. My world will be your world, and there will be no escape.”
A part of her wanted to run, but another part—a part she didn’t fully understand—wanted to stay. Wanted to see how deep this darkness went. She met his gaze, her voice steady.
“Then I say yes.”
A flicker of something dark and satisfied crossed his face, and he pulled her closer, his breath cold against her ear.
“Then welcome to my world, Sophia. Pray you don’t regret it.”
