Days turned into weeks, and Sophia grew accustomed to the luxurious estate and Mr. Lee's occasional companionship.
He would take her on leisurely walks or early morning jogs, insisting it was essential for burning fat.
"Come on, keep up!" Mr. Lee said, his voice firm but gentle, as he jogged alongside her.
"I'm dying!" Sophia panted, her hands on her knees.
"You're not dying, Sophia. You're just getting started," Mr. Lee replied, his expression stoic.
"Seriously i like the way i am" She whines which make Mr. Lee scoff.
As they jogged, Penelope would watch from afar, her eyes narrowing.
"She thinks she's special, but I'll make sure she falls by all means," Penelope thought.
Little did Penelope know, Mr. Lee's was bound by a contract marriage, and Sophia's presence was a refreshing distraction maybe.

One morning, as they jogged, Sophia suddenly clutched her abdomen which made her let out a silent wince.
°Why the hell is my tummy aching at this point in time? Did i eat what i suppose not to? ° Sophia thought to herself in confusion as the pain continues.
"Mr. Lee, I...I think I need to stop," Sophia winced, squatting down. Her feet were wobbly.
"What's wrong?" Mr. Lee asked, his voice laced with concern.
"I...I don't know," Sophia replied.
Mr. Lee's expression remained impassive, but his actions betrayed his concern. He scooped her up in a bridal carry.
"Put me down! I can walk!" Sophia protested tho' she can't at this point.
"You're in pain, Sophia. Don't argue," Mr. Lee replied coldly.
He carried her to a private house within the estate.
"Use the restroom. I'll get you something," Mr. Lee said.
"The rest room? "
Sophia's eyes widened as she realized her period had started.
"Oh sh*t! " She cursed under her breaath bitting her lower lip.
°Goodness me! What'll i do now? ° She thought to herself as her heart raced.
Mr. Lee just smirked playfully.
"Anything? "
Sophia's cheeks flushed in embarrassment.
"Never mind," Sophia whispered.
Mr. Lee's gaze remained neutral, but his words were gentle.
" Don't worry." And with that he exited the room making Sophia heave a sigh of relief.
"Nna eh of all the days its now today you don decide to lap ehh? " Sophia mutter as she ran into the restroom to prevent messing the place up.
Mr. Lee returned, his footsteps echoing outside the restroom door. Sophia's heart skipped a beat as he knocked gently.
"Yes?" Sophia replied, her voice barely above a whisper, embarrassment coloring her cheeks.
"Here is the sanitary pad," Mr. Lee said, his voice low and soothing.
Sophia hesitated, then slightly opened the door. Mr. Lee's hand extended, offering the pad. Their fingers touched as Sophia took it, sending a shiver down her spine.
"Thank you," Sophia whispered, avoiding eye contact.
"The changing cloth is on the bed," Mr. Lee added, his tone gentle. "Take your time, Sophia. Don't rush."
Sophia's eyes welled up, touched by Mr. Lee's thoughtfulness.
"You didn't have to..." Sophia trailed off.
"I wanted to," Mr. Lee replied, his voice firm but softening.
Sophia's gaze met Mr. Lee's, and for a moment, they just looked at each other.
"Thank you, Mr. Lee," Sophia repeated looking away in embarrassment.
Mr. Lee's expression remained stoic, but his eyes betrayed a hint of warmth.
" Take your time"
As Sophia closed the door, she felt a mix of emotions as she leans on the door. Mr. Lee's cold demeanor had thawed, revealing a caring side.
"Why are you being so kind to me all of the sudden?" Sophia wondered.
After freshening up, Sophia emerged from the room to where Mr. Lee waited for her, feeling more composed.
"Feeling better?" Mr. Lee asked.
Sophia nodded.
"Thank you again, Mr. Lee."
Mr. Lee's gaze lingered.
"Don't mention it, Sophia. You're under my care now."
Sophia's heart skipped a beat.
"What does that mean? Should i be the one? " Sophia thought.
As they walked back to the main house, Penelope watched.
"She's getting to him," Penelope thought.
"And i won't let that happen"
But Mr. Lee's expression remained impassive.
"Sophia, rest for the day," Mr. Lee said.
Sophia nodded.
"Thanks, Mr. Lee."
As Sophia retired to her room, she couldn't shake off the feeling.
"Mr. Lee is a puzzle I want to solve," Sophia thought.
Indeed Sophia rested for the day but not entirely chatting the whole day with Crystal whom Penelope threatens to kick out.
At dinner, Mr. Lee's demeanor remained cold.
"Eat, Sophia," Mr. Lee said.
Sophia nodded although surprised.
As they ate, Sophia couldn't help but steal glances at Mr. Lee.
"Why are you looking at me?" Mr. Lee asked without sparing a glance.
Sophia's cheeks flushed.
"No reason," Sophia replied.
Mr. Lee's expression softened.
"Don't lie, Sophia."
Sophia's heart skipped a beat.
"You're cold, Mr. Lee, but sometimes...sometimes you're not."
Mr. Lee's gaze intensified.
"Don't get too comfortable, Sophia. I'm not what you think."
Sophia's eyes dropped.
"I know, Mr. Lee."
But Sophia couldn't shake off the feeling that Mr. Lee was hiding something.
And as she retired to her room, Sophia wondered what lay beneath Mr. Lee's icy exterior.
