As Sophia entered Mr. Lee's office, she felt a sense of trepidation. What did he want her to do now?
"Ah, Sophia," Mr. Lee said, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I have a special task for you."
Sophia's heart sank. What kind of task could he possibly have in mind?
"I want you to...," Mr. Lee paused, a sly smile spreading across his face. "I want you to reorganize the entire filing system of the company."
Sophia's eyes widened in horror. "But, Mr. Lee, that's a huge task!"
Mr. Lee chuckled, a low, husky sound that sent shivers down Sophia's spine. "I know. That's why I'm giving it to you."
"So is that the reason for the business proposal? " Sophia asks with a raised eyebrow.
"Or do you want be to............... "
"Is that why you bought me? " Sophia interrupted.
"Not exactly but the first thing you should know is that i'm the boss and you do as i say ok? " Mr. Lee asks with a smirk.
"But i.......... "
"To work" He interrupts making Sophia scoff.
"It's not fair oh" Sophia muttered as a playful smirk played on Mr. Lee's lips.
She would not let him get the better of her. "Fine. I'll do it."
Mr. Lee's smile grew wider. "I knew you'd say that. You have...spirit."
Sophia could only sigh in resignation.
°Silly°
As Sophia left the office, she felt a sense of dread. How was she going to accomplish this task? But she was determined to prove to him that-
Sophia sat at her desk, staring at the towering stack of files in front of her. "Reorganize the entire filing system?" she muttered to herself. "Is he kidding me?"
Mr. Lee would occasionally drop by to check on her progress. Sophia could sense his amusement, his eyes glinting with mirth as he watched her struggle.
Just then, Kai walked by her desk and noticed her distress. "Hey, need some help?" he whispered to her with a friendly smile.
"Not that I'm aware of," Sophia said, frustration etched on her face.
Kai chuckled. "Well, let me take a look. Maybe I can-"
But before Kai could even glance at the files, Mr. Lee appeared out of nowhere. "Kai, I think you've forgotten your place," he said, his voice dripping with menace.
"Sorry." Kai said quickly, backing away. "I was just trying to help."
"Don't," Mr. Lee growled. "She needs to learn on her own. Interference will only hinder her progress."
Sophia's eyes widened. "But, Mr. Lee, I don't even know where to start!"
Mr. Lee's expression turned glacial. "Figure it out. That's what I pay you for."
The other workers gazed her direction, whispering to themselves like
'she's new and she has already angered the boss'
'she's good as dead'
As Kai beat a hasty retreat, Sophia felt a shiver run down her spine. What had just happened?
°Is he trying to- yeah of course..... The boss thing ugh..........so annoying°
As the hours ticked by, Sophia grew increasingly frustrated. "Where is the Johnson file?" she muttered to herself.
Just then, Mr. Lee's voice echoed like he's in her head"Lost already?"
Sophia spun around to see him , her face flushed a bit. "I'm just...getting familiar with the system."
Mr. Lee's eyes narrowed. "Familiar? You have one day to complete this task. Failure is...unacceptable."
"One day?I need a rest...........and i think you should stop with all the boss thing" Sophia says collapsing on her desk making Mr. Lee let out a smirk.
"I think you should sign up to being an actress " Mr. Lee says coldly.
As Mr. Lee turned to leave, Sophia noticed a faint smile playing on his lips. "You're enjoying this, aren't you?" she accused.
Mr. Lee's smile grew wider. "Maybe. Just maybe."
And with that, he vanished into the shadows, leaving Sophia with more questions than answers.
But despite himself, Mr. Lee found himself chuckling at Sophia's antics. Her facial expressions, her muttered curses, her determined grit...it was all so...entertaining.
And that surprised him. He wasn't the type to find joy in others' struggles. But there was something about Sophia...
Mr. Lee sat behind his desk in his office, sipping his coffee as he waited for Samantha to arrive as time scheduled.
Then a knock was heard at the door.
"Come in" He replied.
"Master, Samantha Smith is here to see you," Kai said smiling.
Mr. Lee nodded curtly, "Send her in."
"And stop with the smile" He adds.
Samantha arrived promptly at 2 pm, her smile nervous. "good day Mr. Lee."
Mr. Lee, nodded, his eyes fixed on her. "Samantha. Sit down."
Kai left the room, closing the door behind him.
Samantha sat, her hands fidgeting in her lap. "I... uh... I can explain the discrepancy..."
Mr. Lee raised an eyebrow, "Try."
"You should be lucky i didn't make it public" He adds coldly.
Samantha launched into a convoluted explanation, but Mr. Lee cuts her off.
"Spare me the details, Samantha. I want to know one thing: are you trying to deceive me?"
Samantha's eyes widened, "N-no, Mr. Lee! I swear..."
"How can i? " She adds trying to cover up.
Mr. Lee leaned forward, his eyes cold, "I'll be watching you, Samantha. Closely."
As Samantha left, Kai re-entered the room, "do you need anything?"
"I can ask Sophia to-"
"Nothing" He interrupts coldly. His mind still on the meeting with Samantha.
