The next morning found Isabella speaking on the phone with her father.
"I'll take responsibility for everything," she said firmly, her voice resolute.
Isabella turned around after ending the call, her expression serious. She saw Soo-min, Max, and Louie sitting on the couch and made her way over to them.
Soo-min looked up as Isabella approached, her eyes inquisitive. "Everything okay?" she asked, sensing that something was amiss.
Isabella said, sitting down with the rest of them. "My father wants me to organize Samarah's birthday party this Sunday."
Soo-min and Max's faces brighten at the mention of Samarah's birthday. "That's great!" Soo-min says with a smile. "We should definitely help you plan it."
Max chimed in, a playful glint in his eyes. "Birthday parties are always fun," he said. "Are we invited?"
Isabella chuckled at Max's question, her eyes glimmering with amusement. "Of course you're invited," she replied, her tone lighthearted. "It wouldn't be a party without you guys there."
Louie's eyebrows furrowed slightly, a hint of surprise coloring his expression. "Samarah knows about this?" he asked, his tone incredulous.
Isabella smiled warmly, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Yes, actually she's the one who suggested it to father," she replied, the pride in her voice evident.
Soo-min looked surprised. "Really? She suggested it?" she asked, her eyebrows raised in disbelief.
Isabella nodded, her expression softening. "She's been really excited about her upcoming birthday," she said, a hint of affection in her voice.
Soo-min looked skeptical. "That's something new," she said, her words laced with a hint of suspicion.
Max, always the more carefree one, chimed in. "Maybe she's trying to cross the bridge of relation between Isabella and her," he joked, trying to lighten the mood.
Isabella chuckled at Max's joke, her lips curving into a small smile. "Maybe she is," she agreed, her tone tinged with a hint of hope.
Louie, ever the serious one, added, "That would be nice. It's about time they became friendlier."
Max's eyes shifted to Isabella's arm. "How's your arm?" he asked suddenly, his tone gentle.
Isabella's expression turned slightly uncomfortable as the attention turned towards her arm. She flexed her hand slightly, wincing a bit in pain. "It's better," she said, her voice slightly strained.
Louie looked visibly irritated as he spoke up, his voice tight with anger. "The Kim's are getting on my nerves," he said, his jaw clenching. "I can't believe how cleverly they planned that trap."
Louie's expression turned protective, his gaze fixed on Isabella. "I'm not going to leave you alone for a second from now on," he said firmly, his voice leaving no room for argument.
