Jackson's Pov

I sigh, sinking deeper against the bleachers. All of today's contestants were good, but not good enough.

"Jackson, you think we are going to find someone this time?" My beta, one of the few vampires that still exist, Pierce asks. I take a deep breath and reply, "I have no clue...."

"God damn it! Again we won't take anyone?!? Why don't we just make the test easier?" Jayden, the delta, asks, clearly annoyed.

Other wolves in my pack started yipping in agreement. I growl, "Enough! We are going to keep the test how it has been for decades! All of you passed it, why shouldn't they?"

Everyone went silent. Pierce asks, "Hey Alpha, are you ever going to come un-invisible and show yourself to the contestants?"

I sigh, taking a deep breath, "Probably not. I would rather not have contestants wondering where I was. Let's keep my elemental power, as hidden as possible. Don't want another war with hunters."

The other werewolves murmur in agreement.

"KNOCK KNOCK!"

Pierce's voices echoes through, all the other pack members silencing, "Come in!"

Mr.Cody, the hall monitor steps into the room, "I have found the last contestant hiding out in the bathroom."

Pierce responds confidently back, "Thank you Mr.Cody, you are dismissed."

Mr.Cody shuffles away, allowing the last contestant to enter the gym.

"Step forward." Pierce says, still hidden in the shadows.

The contestant does as they are told. As soon as she steps into the light I gasp. She was gorgeous. Her wild brown hair and posture made her look confident. Her hazel eyes were skimming the area protectively and her plump soft looking lips made my chest tighten. She was muscular and curvy. I wanted to take her right there.

I switch over to my wolf's thoughts and my mind was bombarded with, "MATE. MATE. MATE." I turn off my wolf and look over to my mate thoughtfully, wondering how good she is at fighting.

I wanted to kiss her, I wanted to run my hand through her hair. I wanted to-. "No. Stay hidden." I growl to myself as I compose myself.

"State your name" Demands Pierce

"Syrina" The female's voice echoes back, just as confidently.

"Creature?"

"Unknown." Syrina respond proudly, smirking almost.

"She is lying, she smells like vampire!" A member of my pack shouts mentally.

"Liar. We all know you are vampire. We can smell it." Pierce says.

"You said creature. Not creatures. If you haven't noticed, I kinda am not full blood-sucker. And we?" Syrina scoffs, crossing her arms.

I did like her way of thinking.

Pierce steps from the shadows. "Yes.... We." He mentions to the shadows around the gym and I say through the bond, "Now." Instantly the gym lights up with the glowing yellow eyes of my pack.

I watch as Syrina's eyes change to a glowing color of the fire. I suck in a breath, her mythical eyes were captivating.

Pierce smirks, "Ready to be tested Ms.Syrina?"

She shrugs her shoulders, seeming completely relaxed.

A warrior wolf charges her but she side-steps him easily. "But before I actually start fighting." She grins, spinning around, as another werewolf missing at catching her. "May I know your name, Beta?"
"WOAH! WOAH! WOAH?!? How does she know that?" Jayden shrills.

I growl mentally, "Tell her Pierce..."

"Pierce." Pierce smirks.

I watch as Syrina's lips form a smirk. Though she hid it were well, I caught as her body tensed. Then I watched as she went down, Jayden tackling her.

"She faked it!" I hiss. "Watch her movements closely Pierce."

"You got it Alpha." Piece states as we all watch as Jayden is flipped around and Syrina was on top of him. I groan, an image of her doing that to me crossing my mind. "Stop it mind!" I hiss to myself.

Wolf-whistles were tossed Syrina's and my pack began shouting, "Go Jayden! Ooo! He gonna get laid tonight!"

I smirk, "Jayden lets switch the position shall we?"

Jayden growls in delight.

"Cut!" shouts Pierce making Jayden stand up off of my mate.

"Take her down." I tell my pack. They follow my order, taking Syrina down. However, as Pierce and I watch her closely, we can see she tenses herself right before a warrior attack.

Once the last of the werewolves 'finishes' her, she stands up and turns to leave. However, what happened next, almost made me attack the wolf. His hand almost touched her, and to his luck, Syrina caught him in the act. She grabs his hand and flips him onto his back.

She turns back to the other werewolves who had their jaw drops, "If anyone else tries to touch me, you will also be on the floor." She smiles and turns again only to be stopped by Pierce's voice.

"You were faking...." He smirks, "All that fighting, and failing, fake.

Syrina freezes and turns back around. "Maybe." She winks.

Pierce raises an eyebrow, "Looks like this test just started then."
