"I can't fucking believe this..."
Minji slumped into an empty bus seat with a duffle bag filled with her belongings next to her, thoughts of her earlier conversation a few days back with the head of the Seoul Police Station still in her head.
She's been working as a police officer in Seoul for four years.
FOUR years.
And she was one of the best cops in her area of profession, at such a young age.
Yet they transfer her to a more suburban, dare she say country, area of Korea?
To teach some random officer trainee at that, at a town she didn't even know existed until now.
And live with the trainee??
The only way she could come back was if the trainee finished and passed their training and got their badge.
"You could use this opportunity to humble yourself, go socialize with people other than in this city. You and I both know that you've had multiple instances where you risked your life for biting off more than you could chew. Lower your pride, Kim.
Was what the head of the Seoul Police Station, her boss, had told her.
"Humble myself my ass... I don't need this."
Minji mumbled under her breath, avoiding people who had begun to get on the bus with her by pulling out her phone.
She was immediately met with two different messages.
'I can trust her with my apartment... This'll only last a couple months at most... Right?'
Minji quickly replied back to her sister before tapping at the unknown number that texted her.
'Huh. She's well-mannered.'
