Two months had passed since Minji was kidnapped.

Although she missed the sunlight, her sister, and her parents...

Minji started to not mind.

Sure it wasn't the best circumstance but...

Hanni wasn't hurting her, and Haerin brought her company whenever they were together in the basement as well. Minji hadn't even been in handcuffs for the past couple weeks.

As time passed, Hanni started to trust Minji more, what started as bringing her small snacks and food grew into giving Minji books that she could read, or teaching the older girl origami.

Or sometimes when Haerin was upstairs or outside with Dani, Hanni would just lay down on the bed as Minji stayed sitting up, the two either in complete silence or Hanni ranting about a quirky interest she had as Minji listened.

She would even let Minji use her phone to play any of the videogames she had if they were together.

Sometimes Hanni would sing.

The younger girl had brought up once that she wanted to be a singer in another life, traveling the world with a guitar and singing in the curbs of city streets.

Two months had passed since Minji was kidnapped.

And Minji began to slowly see Hanni outside of her psychotic and a bit obsessive persona.

There were bits and pieces Minji saw that showed that Hanni could've just been an ordinary college student.

GAME OVER. TRY AGAIN?

"Damn."

"Awe don't be sulky Minji~"

The bear startled as Hanni lifted up one side of her frown to make her smile.

"Let me try and beat it for you."

"I suck at videogames."

Hanni took her phone back as Minji handed it to her, "dah~ well, then I can keep helping you finish it."

She tapped the "try again" button, and Minji's eyes slowly moved up from the phone screen to Hanni's face.

The bunny bit her lip as she kept her eyes glued to the phone, her eyebrows furrowing as she moved her thumbs in ways that Minji couldn't possibly imagine.

Who knew this girl who was currently super concentrated on beating a mobile game's mini-boss was some serial killer, with a police officer trapped in her basement.

'She's like a normal person right now...'

Hanni's concentrated frown grew into a grin as confetti dropped down the phone screen, hyping herself up with a fist in the air.

"Let's go~"

"Maybe you aren't such a bad person..."

The bunny glanced over from Minji's soft whisper, tilting her head, "hm?"

'Did she just...'

Minji shook her head, "nothing, thanks for beating it."

Hanni's heart fluttered, realizing that Minji really said what the bunny thought she said.

"Oh yeah, I forgot."

"Huh?"

Hanni reached behind Minji's neck, the bear's eyes widening as the bunny unclasped the choker.

The younger girl gently rubbed Minji's neck as she pulled the choker away, swiftly leaning in to peck some of the past marks made by the tight collar and its chain.

Minji yelped in surprise from the sudden kisses, turning red in embarrassment.

"W-why are you t-taking it off?"

'God why am I stuttering so much??'

"Do you want it on?"

Minji immediately shook her head, her neck thanking her, "no."

"Exactly, I've been meaning to take it off for a while. I can give it back to Dani."

Hanni brushed a strand of hair from Minji's face, the bear staring at her in confusion.

'What the hell...'

Hanni giggled as she held a cute smile, "you look cute when you're confused."

Minji turned a darker red, making Hanni raise her eyebrow.

"You're making it seem like you've never been complimented about your looks your whole life."

"Nope, never."

Hanni's jaw dropped in disbelief, "no way?"

'Fuck she's pretty as hell, are people blind???'

"I'm being serious."

"You weren't popular in school?"

"Quite the opposite, actually."

"Well..."

Hanni patted Minji's head, "you're very pretty, Kim Minji."

Minji rolled her eyes, "isn't that the very reason why you kidnapped me?"

"Exactly! So you should know that I'm telling the truth."

Minji sighed as she shook her head, only to let out a chuckle.

Which made Hanni's heart explode, combust, even.

"You just... laughed..."

Minji pursed her lips, "no I didn't."

The older girl glanced back at Hanni from her silence, seeing that she was staring with stars in her eyes, awestruck from Minji's small laugh.

'What could you have been like if your childhood wasn't ruined? Could... we have been friends?'

"You like me right?"

"Fuck yeah I do."

"How much?"

Hanni shook her head, "I can't show you how much, it's too much."

Minji slowly nodded, the younger girl slightly leaning forward closer to her.

"Do you like me?"

To that, the officer tried to keep her eyes on Hanni without looking away.

"Keep acting all cute like this and maybe I will."

Hanni flustered up, "d-did you just call me cute?"

Minji raised an eyebrow, "did I?"

'Keep it cool. Loosen her up.'

Hanni covered her face with her hands as she fell back on the bed, making a weird sound.

"Gah Minji!"

She made it so that only her eyes showed passed her hands, her eyes practically sparkling. It was obvious that she was smiling even with her mouth covered.

"I like this side of you, I don't like the officer side of you."

Minji smirked as Hanni sat back up, "well then, make it so I don't have to show my officer side."

Hanni smiled, leaning in to tap Minji's nose, "who knew you could be such a flirt."

'Yeah... Who knew.'
