TIMESKIP 1 WEEK...
"Dani's missing some things from the kitchen... I think I forgot a few pictures too."
Minij nodded, following Hanni through the crunchy leaves and thick trees, both of them sporting backpacks.
"I don't know how I can make it up to Dani."
Hanni took a quick glance back as they crossed the broken bridge, "huh?"
"I'm assuming the place you two lived at was her parents' home? And I made it so that she can't go back."
Hanni sighed, kicking at a loose rock, "however much Dani misses her parents, she made sure that no remnant of them remained in that house. I know you haven't been up on the main floor that much, but I'm sure you've seen how empty it was."
"Yeah it was as if you guys didn't live there... Minus your guys' rooms."
"Mhm. Honestly I'm the one that told Dani that she should keep a few pictures up at least, for the happier memories you know?"
The bunny shook her head, "she said she might go crazy if she had to see their faces every day without actually being able to talk to them, I had to take them all down for her."
Hanni weakly laughed, "I mean, I guess she did go crazy, we both did... But I know now after living with her for most of my life that she could've become way worse..."
She glanced back again, "but I've seen some pictures of her parents on her phone, I wouldn't be surprised if she kept some old photographs somewhere I don't know."
"What about you? If you don't mind me asking."
Hanni took a lazier look back as they arrived at the clearing, "you've changed since we first met, you wouldn't have cared how your words affected me in the beginning."
Before Minji could speak, Hanni spoke again, seeing that Minji genuinely felt bad.
"Anyyyway, no, I don't have any pictures of them. I cut them all up and burned all of them in that fire pit over there."
Minji nodded, glancing around to see that everything was still intact.
Hanni opened the door, glancing around before walking inside.
"Ah- I did leave some pictures."
She went to go take them off the wall or on the counters, glancing back at Minji.
"I can take care of the inside, do you mind checking out back? I hid some cash there but I don't know if Dani took it already or not. There's a big rock covering a trapdoor on the opposite side of that wall, code's 'ADOR'."
Minji scrunched up her face, fiddling with the strings of her facemask, "what does that mean?"
"I don't know man, it just came with the lock."
Minji went back outside as Hanni began to rummage through the cabinets, walking to the back to see the big rock she was talking about.
'I passed by this rock so many times helping gather firewood and I didn't even think about hiding something beneath it.'
She crouched down, lifting it up to see leaves.
'Maybe it's under it.'
She set the rock aside, brushing away the leaves and dirt to feel a firmer surface than the loose dirt around the hut.
'Wood.'
Minji came across the wooden trapdoor's handle, seeing a common lock looped around its hinges.
