[M] - Mentions of death // Crime scene

TIMESKIP 2 WEEKS...

"I think this place is starting to grow on me."

Haerin glanced over, the two about to head out with their police uniforms to help the boss open up the police station in the early morning.

"Jjinja?"

Minji nodded, "yeah I think so."

'There's nothing really to do... But the people are nice, not the flakey ones you see often in the city. No wonder many of them don't like us.'

The cat hummed, the duo walking over to the police station in the cool morning breeze.

"I'm glad, might make your time here easier for you."

"Yeah..."

The two walked over to see a person already talking to the boss, the bear and cat walking in to hear the person talk in a frightened manner.

'Huh?'

The boss glanced over as he heard the police station doors open, nodding along to what the person said.

"Huh..."

Minji glanced at her watch, "are we late?"

The man shook his head, "nope but we're starting early. Minji, Haerin, head over to 12244 Buk street."

Haerin's eyes perked up from the address, "what happened there?"

The person turned around, relieved to see Haerin as they walked over to her.

"Oh Haerin-ah, please you guys have to help me! I-I-I don't know what came over him, he seemed so happy before I left!"

The cat tried to calm the civilian down, "ma'am, can you tell me what happened?"

"You know how I left to visit my family a little further south for a few days?"

"Nae."

"I just came back today and the first thing I saw..."

The woman paused, trying not to start sobbing again, "w-was my h-husband... H-He killed himself..."

The two officers' faces dropped at the information, Haerin stuttering to speak.

"H-he... did...?"

The cat immediately hugged the distressed woman, pulling away as the boss began to speak.

"You two have everything?"

"Nae."

The man nodded, "the other two already communicated with a professional the next town over, head over and patrol the area, make sure the public doesn't get in as well. That bag over there is what you guys will need."

"Yes sir."

Minji walked over to grab the backpack while Haerin reassured the woman one last time that she'll try to help her, the two walking out for the boss to deal with the legal matters.

"It can't be true."

Minji glanced over as she followed Haerin to the house of the crime, "what?"

The cat shook her head, "I know this person, he used to be one of my middle school teachers. He wouldn't do that, especially not to his wife."

Minji lowered her voice so people outside wouldn't hear, "so you're saying it's a homicide."

"Yes."

"Has that happened here before?"
