Author's POV
Rays of light fell on Shivika's face, causing her to wake up. Today, no one had disturbed her or tried to wake her up. She was truly happy until she saw the time, which was 11 o'clock. She knew her mother would be angry. She quickly changed her clothes and went to the kitchen, where her mother was working. She hugged ger from behind.
"Ab iska koi faeda nahi, jao jake breakfast karlo wese bhi thanda ho chuka hai," Meera said.
("There's no point now; go have your breakfast, it's gone cold anyway.")"Okay mummmaaa."
"Dono baap beti ek jese hain, ek wo hain jinko pure time kaam aur ek ye jo bas soti rehti hai," Meera said angrily while Shivika pouted at her.
("Both father and daughter are the same; one is always working and the other just keeps sleeping.")
Shivika knew it wasn't the right time to say anything, so she quietly ate her breakfast and started helping her mother.
--------------------------------------
After helping her mother in the kitchen, Shivika decided that she would go to the park, she quickly changed her clothes, wore a beautiful white anarkali suit dupatta, then she packed a small paintbox, some brushes, and a small notebook in which she used to draw random stuff. She had always loved painting, not only because she was good at it but also because, through painting, she could express herself. So she grabbed everything and drove to the park.
Her outfit
The weather was cloudy. She knew it could rain, but it bothered her the least because inside her heart, it was already raining. She couldn't bear to see her mother suffering because of her, but she had no other option. Whenever Shivika tried to talk to her mother about her father, she would simply tell her that it was none of her business.
While walking toward one of the trees, she tripped. Before she could hit the ground, someone grabbed and pulled her, causing her to collide with that person's chest. She looked up and found a handsome man looking at her with a smile.
Shivika's POV
My mind stopped working the moment i saw him, he's so handsome!! Control shivi control!! But damnnn his blue eyes are so pretty!! Aaaahhh
So, I was the first to break eye contact, but he still had his hands on my waist and was staring at me. To be honest, I was enjoying it. But then I noticed all my stuff scattered on the ground, so I quickly bent down to pick it up. He saw me and started helping me. As we were collecting our things, we both reached for the same bottle and our hands touched. We looked at each other and blushed.
"Tha..anks," I said, while stuttering.
"Wese ap bohot sunadar hain" ("By the way, you are very beautiful") he said nervously.
"Ohh.. apki bhii ey..es bohot sundar hain" ("Oh, yours are very beautiful too") I said, while looking into his eyes. We both chuckled.
"Ap aati rehti hain idhar?" ("Do you come here often?") he asked.
"Haan," I lied, ("Yes,")
"Aur ap?" ("And you?") I asked him.
"Nahi main nahi ata hon, aj bas man kara toh.." ("No, I don’t come often; today I just felt like it...") He said, looking down.
"Apko chai peni hai?" ("Do you want tea?") I asked and immediately felt stupid for asking such a lame question!
"Haan!" he replied instantly, as if he had been waiting for me to ask him.
"Pas main ek jagah hai wahan chai bohot achi chai milti hai, ap chalenge?" ("I know a place where they serve very good tea, will you come?")
"Haan haan chalo" ("Yes, yes, let's go.")
We both began our silent walk and reached that tea stall. I was thinking that I, who don't even like tea, asked him... well, I just wanted to talk to him. Wait, does he like tea? Obviously, he does, warna why would he say yes?
Soon, it started drizzling. The weather became more romantic. I wanted to talk to him, but I didn't know what to say, so I remained silent. So, we had our tea and sat on a bench. Then, he finally started talking.
"Apko painting karna pasand hai?" ("Do you like painting?") he asked.
"Haan bohot zyada, main BFA kar rahi" ("Yes, very much, I am doing a BFA.")
"BFA?" he said while looking confused.
"Bachelors in fine arts," I said with a smile.
"Oh tab toh bohot talented hongi ap!" ("Oh, then you must be very talented!")
"Haan keh sakte.. ap kya karte hain?" ("Yes, you could say that... what do you do?")
"Main... main family business wagera dekhta hon.. wese apka naam kya hai?" ("I... I look after the family business... by the way, what’s your name?")
"Shivika, aur apka?" ("Shivika, and yours?")
"Mera??" he looked at me in confusion.
"Haan ji aur koi dikh raha yahan apko" ("Yes, and is anyone else visible here?") I said while laughing a little.
"Mera naam sa..." Before he could say anything, I heard a loud thunderclap that scared me. I suddenly got up due to fear.
"Kya hua?" he asked while getting up. ("What happened?")
"Wo.. bijli.." With tears in my eyes, I tried to speak, but then a loud noise interrupted me. This time, I hugged him tightly. It started raining again.
"Ao main ghar chodh deta hon" ("Come, I'll drop you home") he said that without breaking our hug.
"Nahi wo main gadi se hon, bas car tak chodh dije..." ("No, I’m in a car; just drop me to my car...") I said.
"Haan theek hai chalo" ("Okay, let's go") he picked me up in his arms and carried me to my car. When we got there, he gently set me on my feet. I got in my car, and before I closed the door, I looked at him and said...
"Wese main har 2-3 din main aati hon yahan.." ("By the way, I come here every 2-3 days...") To this sentence, he simply gave me a flirtatious smile and nodded his head in yes.
I drove back home, and my heart was pounding so hard, I could hear it. I couldn't stop smiling the whole way home. Upon reaching home, I quickly took out my things and as I opened the front door of my house, I heard a familiar voice...
