Author's pov

The day passed by quickly. Samar and Ishaan were busy trying to find Naina and Kabir, while Arjun felt satisfied that his plan was working. He was already preparing for the next part of it. In all the stress, Samar forgot to check on Shivika. She had cried all night, and her thoughts were all over the place. The memories of her time with Samar were now twisted, and they filled her with sadness. She was blaming herself for trusting him, but deep down, she still hoped everything was just a misunderstanding. She loved Samar, but the fact that he hadn’t come to meet her last night, or even called, was hurting her. It made it hard to stay positive.

However, not everything was going wrong. That night, after Naina had her dinner and medicine, she heard a loud, painful scream coming from outside her room. It was so terrible that she couldn’t stop thinking about it. She couldn’t sleep, imagining the person outside in so much pain. So far, only the old woman had been bringing her food.

The next morning, Naina was standing by her door holding a metal plate. As the old woman opened the door, Naina quickly swung the plate and hit her on the head, knocking her unconscious. Naina rushed outside and heard soft, painful sounds coming from another room. The door was locked from the outside, but she managed to open it. Inside, she found Kabir, chained to the wall, covered in bruises and cuts. He was barely conscious. She called his name, but he didn’t answer. Just as Naina was about to untie him, she heard footsteps approaching.

Panicked, she quickly ran back to her room, where the old woman was still lying unconscious. Naina locked the door and looked through the woman’s sari. She found a phone, but she didn’t know Samar or Ishaan’s numbers. She had no idea where she was either. Then, she remembered her brother’s number. She had bought him a phone for his 18th birthday, and she knew his number by heart.

She dialed it quickly and told her brother to find Ishaan and tell him to call the number she had found. Naina was praying someone would come to help before it was too late.

Arjun's pov

The evening was drawing close when I called Shivika, my heart racing with excitement and happiness.

“Shivika, tu tayar hai apne us Samar ki sachai dekhne ke liye?” (Shivika, are you ready to see the truth about that Samar?) I asked.

She sounded confused, almost worried. “Kya matlab? Samar kahan hai??” (What do you mean? Where is Samar?)

I could sense her curiosity piquing, but I wasn’t about to explain everything right now.

"Wahi, jo main tujhe dikhane le ja raha hoon. Bas ready rehna, main 2 minute mein aa raha hoon." (The one I’m going to show you. Just get ready, I’ll be there in 2 minutes.) I hung up before she could ask anything more. There was no time for questions—just actions.

I immediately dialed Ishaan’s number, knowing this would be the turning point.

"Samar ke ghar ke bahar milna," (Meet outside Samar’s house) I said, my voice cold and sharp. "Jab main kuch bhi puchon to tujhe sirf 'haan' bolna hai." (When I ask you something, you just have to say 'yes.')
