"Can you tell me now where we are going?" I asked eagerly, after taking our seat in the long private jet.

Walid who was seated in the seat across from me, finally looked up at me. "Grand Bahama island." He replied.

"Bahamas?" I tried to conceal my excitement as I sunk back in my seat.

I had only seen that kind of mesmerizing sight in images, never been anywhere close to it. But it didn't really matter. As long as I was with Walid, if he took me anywhere it would feel special for me.

Earlier, I had woken up to get ready for the flight. We had said our goodbye and left for Walid's private airport. We hadn't talked much on the way here, or barely.

However, we were alone now and it would be hard not to talk to him and ignore him. Not that I wanted to do that. I had already gotten over our little argument and I had already forgiven him.

"Since you didn't want anyone to know about the trip, where did you tell your family we are going?"

"I gave them another name of another place." He shrugged.

"But it's your family...you shouldn't have lied to them." I felt bad that he had to lie because of me.

It made me think, why would he see his family as a threat? Did he not trust them to keep our location secret?

"It had to be done. I have a plan to find the mole among us and until I don't find the person, I can't trust anyone." He sighed, leaning back in his seat.

"Plan? What plan?" I asked again, the curiosity really getting to me.

"A secret plan." His words annoyed me and I crossed my arms.

"You don't trust me either?" My eyebrows raised.

He studied me for a moment with an unreadable expression, before finally speaking up.

"Isak and Rashid were supposed to follow us here to shadow us just in case. But I changed my mind and decided they should go to the country I told everyone else we're going to. They're taking my private jet. This one is borrowed from a politician and business partner of mine, Adam, who was supposed to travel back to his home but I arranged another plane for him. Long story short, Adam is traveling in this plane while me and you are traveling with Isak and Rashid. That's what everyone thinks." He explained, making me think for a moment so my mind could process everything he had just said.

"And if Isak and Rashid gets followed and something happens, it means..." I trailed off, getting the hint.

"That the mole is someone living within the walls of our home." He finished my sentence for me.

"But what if something happens to Rashid and-"

"Nothings going to happen. They are prepared for anything." Walid assured, making me nod but still feel stressed about their health.

"Why are you suspicious about your own family." I finally asked.

I could see a dark emotion in his eyes at the mention of that, making my heart drop. What had gone so wrong for him to not even trust his own blood?

"It doesn't matter who it is, people can stab you in the back for even the worth of a penny." His voice was cold and he seemed so distant.

I could see the stress on his face. Walid wasn't afraid of many things. But I could see at this very moment, he was afraid of finding out who the person who repeatedly stabbed him in the back was.
