Folding the last piece of clothing in my hands, I put it in the wardrobe and patted it in place. I took a quick look at my effort before returning back to my room.

My whole afternoon had consisted of me reorganizing Sammy's wardrobe. He had made a complete mess of his wardrobe and I had noticed it early in the morning. I had then decided to fix the disaster as soon as I got the opportunity.

Thankfully, it was all clean and done now. Which reminded me of my next task.

I looked through my own wardrobe and tried to look for something nice to wear. It was hot and sunny outside, which was the reason I had already decided to wear a dress.

My eyes landed on a midi dress that I had never worn before. I pulled out the red floral printed dress and examined it. It was a beautiful dress and I wondered why hadn't worn it before.

Shrugging, I decided to wear it and picked up everything I needed before exiting my room and heading towards the bathroom.

After a quick shower, I got changed into the dress and poured a little bit of my hair oil in my palm. I rubbed my hands together, the scent making me want to inhale but I restrained myself and ran my fingers through the lengths of my hair.

I brushed my hair and blow dried it. When my hair was completely dry, I ran my fingers with oil through the lengths one last time before brushing it again, the straight and shiny lengths falling down my back.

Once I was ready, I left the bathroom and entered my room again. I picked up my cream colored chain handbag and put my phone inside it as I walked towards my dresser.

I looked at myself in the mirror and decided to put on some mascara, blush and lipgloss. I didn't know why I was trying to dress up for nothing. It's not like anyone would notice...

Once I was finished, I backed away and looked at my self in the mirror. My hair was the lightest brown, almost ash brown while my almond shaped eyes were a mix of both blue and green.

With a satisfied nod, I adjusted the square neck of my dress and rushed back to the table to pick up my bracelet. I clasped it around my wrist and couldn't help but stare at the shiny material for a moment. I would never forget how Walid went underwater to look for my bracelet. I would forever be thankful.

The thin chain was the last gift I got from my sister before she passed away. It was a part of my soul now. Having it around my wrist, reminded me of how short life was and anything could happen any second...

Shaking away the thoughts, I left the room and made my way downstairs.

As I stepped downstairs, I fiddled with the hem of my dress, feeling stressed since the clock was ticking and I had to leave but my parents still hadn't left.

I stepped inside the living room and found my father seated on the couch, engrossed in his phone. "I thought you had already left." I stated, taking a seat on the other couch.

"I'm waiting for your mother, she's taking forever." He said, not looking up from his phone. I smiled and leaned back in my seat, putting my bag on my lap as I waited for them to leave so I could leave myself. "Halima! Hurry up." My father let out, putting away his phone.

"Dad. Weren't you supposed to visit uncle this week?" I asked when I remembered he had mentioned a while ago that he was going out of town to visit his brother.

"I'm leaving tonight actually." He said and turned to me. A smile appeared on his face when his eyes landed on me. "You look like a princess, my beautiful girl."
