Ashes to Ashes

S3: It Comes in Twos pt. 2

       The fiery wisp travels down the long corridor of Alfea. Turning around students who watch in amazement as it stops at a door. Flickering slightly it sinks into the wood. Leaving a burn mark in its place. The soft cracking of the wisp dances across the room before it ignites brighter. Lighting the face more of Riven, who is clueless to it all. Ensnared by a deep sleep and soft snores. Riven turns to the flame and lets out a breath.  A whisper sounds, softly saying the name of the boy who tosses his head softly in his sleep before sitting up quickly out of breath. Looking over to the flame, he sinks back into his wall, watching the flames dance before it whispers his name again. "Lydia?"

      "I'm in trouble, Riven. I'm scared, he has me."

        "Who has you Lydia?" Riven jumps up from his bed standing closer to the flame that burns blue and jumps back slightly.

        "He's coming, I don't have much time. Warn the girls. Don't let Bloom know, she has a part in this. Valtor is back. They have me locked up here in the Domino Dimension. I have to go! Riven, I love you!"

    With that the wisp disappeared in a quick moment. Riven quickly dresses in his gear and heads to the Winx Suite. Grabbing Sky from the training grounds along the way. He fills him in and they find the girls lounging around the room. "Where is Bloom?" Riven asks Stella who shrugs her shoulders. "I haven't seen her since this morning why?" Stella stands to approach the two men and the other girls follow.

      "Bloom is the one who took her. Lydia warned us and we didn't listen." Riven says and the girls look at each other and then all turn to look at Lydia's door. "She's been in her room since last night. Trust us we would know if she left. We've been here studying all night." Flora says and Terra nods. Walking over to the door, Riven opens it quickly to see her room empty and he turns to look back at the girls. "Explain how her room is empty then?"

      "Okay, Since we don't have my ring to get to the domino dimension. We have to find a way to get there." Stella says and Terra shows her a portal charm from Lydia's collection and Stella nods. "Okay girls, like we practiced." Stella says and they all stand in a circle holding hands. "Boys place a hand on one of our shoulders." Terra says and the boys do just that and look at the girls. "We don't have a plan." Terra says nervously and Musa looks at her. "The plan is, go in, take out Valtor, again, then save both Bloom and Lydia. Come back, destroy any way of getting to that ghastly dimension and come back unscathed." Musa says and Stella shrugs. "So pretty much wing it, got it." Stella says before they all close their eyes and think of the place they need to go and whisper the girls names.

    In a blink they all disappear and reappear in a cold dark dimension. "Oh this is scary." Terra says while Aisha looks around. "There!" She points seeing a cottage in the distance. "I still can't believe that worked." Stella whispered while following after her friends.

    "Scout the place before we enter." Sky says and Riven nods. Before they can commence on what needs to be done a scream from the cottage stops them in their place. "Lydia." Riven whispers and all common knowledge leaves him hearing the terrifying fear in his girlfriend's scream. "Riven wait!"

         Sneaking into the cottage he follows the voices and the rest of the group follows. Powers at the ready. The girls look around and follow after the boys who lead the way.

      "Bloom this isn't you!" Is all they hear echoing and they kick open the door leading down a dark path into vast tunnels. The girls voice echos off the cold, dark walls causing the heartbeats of the groups to skyrocket in trepidation. Riven glances back at Sky while the girls grow fearful. "How are we going to find them?" Flora mutters while Aisha looks at her. "Split up?" Aisha proposes and Flora shakes her head no. "We are not the Scooby-Doo gang, no splitting up." Flora responds and Musa rolls her eyes. "I'll find them." She says taking point at the front following the frenzied mind of her friend. "This way."

      "I can't read Blooms, it's like it's blocked by something else. Lydia's thoughts are fearful. Mostly thinking of you, Riven. She's fearful for you." Musa says and Riven picks up the pace. "We have to find her, now!" Riven stresses looking down the dark hallways quicker. The need to find his girlfriend safe and sound growing stronger. A cackle rings out echoing hauntingly against the walls.

     "Come to join us?"
