Riwoo's pov

---

Monday morning, I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting my uniform for what felt like the hundredth time. The Hybe High School crest on my chest seemed to stare back at me, a reminder of the unknown challenges ahead.

I took a deep breath and gave myself a pep talk. "You've got this, Riwoo. New school, new start. Be confident, be yourself."

Feeling a bit more reassured, I headed downstairs to the kitchen, where my mom was busy cooking breakfast. The aroma of scrambled eggs and toast filled the air, making my stomach growl with hunger.

My dad had already left for work, but my mom was beaming with a warm smile. "First day of school, sweetie! Are you excited?"

I nodded, trying to hide my nerves. "Yeah, I'm good."

As I basically abused my breakfast, I suddenly felt a piece of toast get stuck in my throat. Did i choke? Yes. I started choking, my eyes watering.

My mom panicked, rushing over to me. "Riwoo, oh my god! Are you okay?"

I gestured wildly, trying to signal that I was fine, but she was already grabbing a glass of water. I took a sip, feeling the toast dislodge, and breathed a sigh of relief.

My mom hugged me tightly, relief written all over her face. "I'm so sorry, sweetie. I was so scared."

I hugged her back, feeling a bit embarrassed. "It's okay, Mom. I'm fine."

With one last squeeze, I grabbed my backpack and headed out the door. "I'll see you later, Mom. Wish me luck!"

As I walked to school, I couldn't help but think about Taesan and our conversation on the bus. I wondered if I'd see him today, and what other new faces I'd meet.

The school building loomed ahead, looking intimidating but also full of possibilities. I took another deep breath, remembering my affirmation from earlier.

You've got this, Riwoo.

As I walked through the school gates, I scanned the crowd for a familiar face. That's when I saw him - Taesan, leaning against a pillar, looking effortlessly cool. Our eyes met, and he flashed me a brief smile before pushing off the pillar and walking towards me.

"Hey, Riwoo," he said, his voice low and smooth. "Glad you made it."

I nodded, feeling a bit starstruck. Everyone around us was staring, whispering to each other. I realized that Taesan was kind of a big deal here - not necessarily popular, but definitely known for his good looks and mysterious vibes.

We only had a minute before the bell rang, but Taesan seemed to revel in the attention. He stood close to me, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled.
