CONTINUATION OF CHAPTER 37

3rd person's POV

As the night wore on, the fundraiser continued to flourish. The art room buzzed with excitement, filled with students, parents, and teachers from various schools. The group's hard work paid off, with many art pieces finding new homes. The sound of chatter, laughter, and clinking glasses filled the air, accompanied by the soft hum of music in the background.

Meanwhile, Mr. Park stood transfixed before a painting, his expression unreadable. He sipped his wine, eyes fixed on the canvas, his mind absorbed in thought. The group couldn't help but notice, and they huddled together, whispering among themselves.

"I'm sure he loves it," Sungho said, confidence etched on his face. "He's been standing there for ages."

Riwoo frowned, unsure. "I don't know... he looks so serious. Maybe he's just trying to figure out what it's supposed to be."

Jaehyun nodded in agreement with Riwoo, his eyes locked on his boyfriend's face. Taesan shook his head, "I think he hates it. He's probably just trying to be polite."

Leehan's expression remained blank, lost in thought, his eyes gazing off into the distance. Woonhak chimed in, "No way, he's definitely into it! He's just taking his time to appreciate the details."

Just as the debate intensified, Taerae and Matthew approached, beaming with smiles. "Guys, we just talked to Mr. Park," Taerae said, barely containing his excitement. "He loves the art and wants to contribute to the cause! He's impressed by the talent and dedication he's seen here tonight."

The group's worries dissipated, replaced by relief and joy. They shared a collective sigh, followed by a triumphant cheer. Sungho pumped his fist in the air, while Riwoo and Jaehyun smiled. Taesan grinned, Leehan's face lit up, and Woonhak let out a little whoop of excitement, making everyone laugh.

As they celebrated, Mr. Park approached, a warm smile on his face. "Your passion and talent are truly inspiring. I'm honored to support your cause. I must say, I'm impressed by the diversity and creativity on display here tonight."

The group's hearts swelled with pride, knowing their hard work had paid off in the best possible way. They thanked Mr. Park, beaming with gratitude, as he continued to mingle and admire the art.

As the man walked away, the group shared a moment of triumph, basking in the glow of their success. They chatted and laughed, reliving the highlights of the evening.

But then, Taerae's expression turned unreadable, and he grasped Riwoo's arm, pulling him aside. "Hey, can I talk to you for a minute?" he asked, his voice low and serious.

Riwoo followed Taerae to a quiet corner, curiosity etched on his face. "What's up?" he asked.

Taerae's eyes welled up with tears as he spoke, his voice trembling. "I just wanted to say... I'm going to miss you so much when we graduate. You're one of my closest friends, Riwoo. Ever since you moved here, you've been there for me through thick and thin."

Riwoo's expression softened, and he listened intently as Taerae continued.

"I know we'll stay in touch, but it won't be the same. We won't be able to hang out every day, to share our thoughts and dreams... I'm really going to miss that."

Taerae's tears spilled over, and Riwoo opened his arms, embracing his friend. "Hey, we'll always be friends, no matter where life takes us," Riwoo said, his voice filled with conviction. "We'll make time for each other, even if it's just a phone call or a visit. You're not getting rid of me that easily!"

Taerae smiled through his tears, and the two friends held each other tightly, cherishing the moment. After a while, they composed themselves and returned to the others, who were still celebrating their triumph.
