TW: MILD TIME SKIP

Riwoo's POV:

Two weeks have passed since my conversation with Jaehyun, and things have been... interesting. We've been spending more time together, studying for exams and grabbing lunch. It's been nice, but I can sense a underlying tension between us.

We haven't talked about our feelings again, but I can tell Jaehyun's been thinking about it. He looks at me differently now, with a softness in his eyes that makes my heart skip a beat.

Today, we're studying for our math exam at the library. Jaehyun's sitting across from me, his eyes fixed on his notes. I try to focus, but I find myself sneaking glances at him.

As we pack up to leave, Jaehyun turns to me and says, "Hey, Riwoo? Want to grab dinner with me tonight?"

My heart races as I nod, trying to play it cool. "Yeah, sure. I'd like that."

We exchange smiles, and Jaehyun looks at me. "I'll pick you up at 6?"

I nod, feeling a sense of excitement. Is this a date? I wonder.

As I walk home, I can't help but feel a sense of hope. Maybe, just maybe, something special is happening between us.

---

I'm lying on the floor, surrounded by clothes, having a mental breakdown. "What do I wear?! This is too casual, this is too formal... ugh!"

Sungho, who's sitting on my bed shamelessly, raises an eyebrow, and says, "Dramatic much?"

I glare at him. "You don't understand! This is a date, Sungho! A date!!! What if I mess it up?"

Sungho rolls his eyes, pulls out an outfit, and says, "Wear this. It's perfect."

I look up at him, shocked. "How did you even...?!"

Sungho facepalms. "Get up, Riwoo. You're being ridiculous."

He gently kicks me, and I scramble to my feet. Sungho hands me the outfit and says, "Go change. I'll wait outside."

I take the outfit, still in awe of Sungho's magical fashion sense. I change, take a few pictures, and send them to Taerae.

Taerae responds immediately, with way too much enthusiasm as always which is why i love being his friend. "OH MY GOSH RIWOO YOU LOOK AMAZING"

He also sends a picture of him and Matthew wishing me luck "Good luck"

(IGNORE RIWOO NOT BEING IN HIS BEDROOM)

I laugh, feeling a bit better. Maybe this date won't be a disaster after all.

Sungho pokes his head back into the room. "Ready?"

I nod, taking a deep breath. "Yeah. Let's do this."

Sungho grins. "That's the spirit! Now go, have fun, and don't mess it up!"

I glare at him, but he just chuckles and heads inside the room.

---

I hear the knock at 6, and my heart skips a beat. Sungho shoves me towards the door, and I stumble, almost face-planting.

"Sungho, what the fuck?!" I glare at him, but he just awkwardly laughs and shoos me away.

"Go, you foul-mouth! Don't keep him waiting!"

I take a deep breath, smooth out my clothes, and open the door. Jaehyun's standing there, looking nervous and AMAZING.

We both smile shyly, and I feel my heart flutter. "Hey," I say, trying to sound casual.

"Hey," Jaehyun replies, looking adorably awkward.

We stand there for a moment, awkwardly smiling at each other. Then Jaehyun gestures for me to come out, and I do, closing the door behind me.

As we walk to our destination, I can feel my heart racing. I'm internally panicking and worrying, but externally, I'm trying to play it cool.

Jaehyun seems to be feeling the same way, but we're both trying to enjoy the moment. We make small talk, discussing everything from school to our favorite TV shows.

Somehow, we manage to reach our destination without any major mishaps. We exchange a relieved glance, and I feel a sense of accomplishment.

We're doing this. We're actually doing this.

Now, let's just hope the rest of the date goes smoothly...

---

We arrive at a quaint little Italian restaurant, tucked away in a cozy corner of the city. The aroma of freshly baked pizza crust and simmering tomato sauce envelops us, making my stomach growl with anticipation.

Jaehyun smiles, looking relieved that we've made it without any disasters. "I've heard great things about this place," he says, holding the door open for me.

I step inside, feeling a sense of excitement. The restaurant is dimly lit, with soft music playing in the background. We're led to a cozy table by the window, and I take a seat, trying to calm my nerves.

Jaehyun sits across from me, the soft light highlighting his features. We carefully examine the menu, discussing our options and making recommendations to each other.

As we wait for our food to arrive, we chat about everything and nothing, our conversation flowing easily. I find myself laughing and feeling more at ease with each passing minute.

When our food arrives, we dig in, savoring the delicious flavors and textures. The pizza is cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of cheese and sauce.

As we eat, our conversation turns more serious. We discuss our dreams and aspirations, our fears and insecurities. I feel a deep connection growing between us, a sense of understanding and empathy.

This is it. This is the moment I've been waiting for. I can feel it in my bones, a sense of certainty that this is something special. This is going amazing.

But just as things are going perfectly, disaster strikes...

Jaehyun accidentally knocks over his glass of water, spilling it all over the table and his lap.

I gasp in shock, but Jaehyun just laughs, looking embarrassed. "Well, I guess I'm a little clumsy tonight!"

I jump up to help, grabbing some napkins to try and clean up the spill. Jaehyun joins me, and together we manage to clean up the mess.

As we're cleaning up the last of the water, our hands touch, and I feel a spark of electricity run through my body. Jaehyun looks up at me, his eyes locking onto mine, and I know in that moment that this is it. This is the moment I've been waiting for. The moment i realize what i want.

Sadly, we sit back down, a little flustered but still laughing. The tension between us is palpable, but it's no longer just about the date. It's about the connection we're feeling, the spark that's growing into a flame.

We finish our meal in a comfortable silence, the only sound the clinking of utensils on plates. When we're done, Jaehyun reaches across the table and takes my hand, his eyes never leaving mine.

"Thanks for tonight, Riwoo," he says, his voice low and husky. "I had a great time."

I smile, feeling my heart soar. "I had a great time too, Jaehyun."

And with that, we both know that this is just the beginning of something special.
