I stand in front of the mirror, gazing at my reflection. It's hard to believe it's been a month since I started at this new school. So much has changed since then.

I think back to my first day, how nervous and intimidated I was. But now, I've made friends with an amazing group of people. Sungho, Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan, Woonhak, and Taerae - each of them unique and special in their own way.

I feel a sense of pride and accomplishment, knowing that my introverted self was able to connect with others and form meaningful relationships. It's not always easy for me to put myself out there, but it's been worth it. I found people who understood me.

I head downstairs to join my mom for breakfast, feeling excited for the day ahead. We chat about our plans throughout the meal, and I bid her goodbye, shouldering my backpack.

As I walk to school, I can't help but feel grateful for this new chapter in my life. I'm looking forward to seeing my friends and making more memories together.

When I arrive at school, I spot Jaehyun waiting for me by our lockers. He smiles, and I feel my heart skip a beat. We exchange greetings, and I know today is going to be a great day.

"Hey, Riwoo,  are you ready for another day of?" Jaehyun asks, his eyes sparkling with genuine interest.

I grin, feeling a sense of belonging. "Always."

---

Jaehyun and I walk into class, taking our usual seats together. Taesan's already there, sitting behind us with a knowing smirk on his face. I wonder how he knows about our date on Saturday, but I don't ask. Some things are just better left unsaid.

He knows. How he knows? Nobody knows...but he knows, you know?

Sungho waves enthusiastically from across the room, and Leehan gives a slight nod, still trying to shake off the sleep. Woonhak bursts in late, just like on the first day, and takes his seat, looking frazzled.

Jaehyun and I exchange a glance, both of us trying not to laugh at our friends' antics. Taesan leans forward, his voice low and conspiratorial.

"So, how was your Saturday night?"

I feel my face heat up, but Jaehyun just smiles and answers the question for the both of us sarcastically, "It was great, amazing infact, thanks for asking, Taesan."

Taesan softly grins, seeming to know more than he's letting on. "Glad to hear it."

The teacher walks in, and we all settle in for another day of class. But I can't help glancing at Jaehyun from time to time, feeling a sense of excitement and possibility. Who knows what the future holds for us?

---

We're all sitting together in the cafeteria, enjoying our lunch. Jaehyun and Woonhak are cracking jokes (which i join of course), trying to outdo each other with their humor. Sungho's laughing so hard he's almost crying, his eyes shining with tears.

Taesan's watching us with a soft smile, looking happy to see his friends having so much fun. He's always been the quiet, observant type, but he's got a heart of gold.

And then there's Leehan, stuffing his mouth with food like there's no tomorrow. He's always been an impressively hungry person, and today's no different than usual. He's got a mouthful of rice and kimchi, and he's still trying to talk.

"Mmmph...this...is...so...good..." he mumbles, his words barely understandable.

We all burst out laughing at him, and even Taesan cracks a smile. It's moments like these that I cherish, surrounded by friends who make me feel seen and heard.

As we finish our lunch and head out of the cafeteria, I feel grateful for this little group of mine. We may not be the most conventional bunch, but we fit together perfectly. And who knows, maybe someday we'll look back on these moments and laugh even harder.

---

I take my seat next to Taerae for the period right after lunch, and before I can even get settled, he's already firing off questions at me.

"So, how was the date? Was it romantic? Did Jaehyun bring you flowers? Did you guys kiss? Did he ask you out finally? Did you-"

I laugh, trying to deflect some of the questions. "Kim Taerae, slow down! One question at a time, please."

But Taerae's not having it. He's already very determined to get all the juicy details.

"Come on, Riwoo, spill the tea please! I've been dying to know what happened on that date."

I glance around the classroom, making sure the teacher (or anyone else) isn't watching, and then lean in to whisper to Taerae.

"Okay, fine. It was really nice. We had dinner at a cute Italian place, and Jaehyun was really sweet. He's just...really great, okay? There."

Taerae squeals, trying to contain his excitement. "I knew it! I knew you two would hit it off. Did you guys make plans for another date?"

I blush, feeling a little embarrassed. Okay, maybe a lot embarrassed. "Maybe. We'll see."

Taerae grins slyly, looking satisfied. "I'm so happy for you, Riwoo. You deserve it."

The teacher starts yapping about his life story instead of teaching, but I tune out, my gaze drifting across the room to where Jaehyun's sitting. Our eyes meet, and we exchange a soft smile.

For a moment, it's like the whole world has melted away, and all that's left is the two of us, forever in this perfect moment.

I feel a flutter in my chest, a sense of excitement and possibility. We're not just friends, not just classmates - we're something more. But what?

Jaehyun's smile widens, and I can sense the connection between us, like an invisible thread pulling us closer together over time.

The teacher's voice fades into the background even more as I get lost in Jaehyun's eyes, imagining all the possibilities that lie ahead.

Will we go on more dates? Will we end up together? Will we get a happily ever after?

Oh, who am i kidding.

Though the uncertainty is thrilling, and I know that whatever happens, I'm ready to face it with Jaehyun by my side.

Our gaze lingers for a moment longer, and then we both look away, trying to focus on the lesson at hand. But I know that our hearts are already racing ahead, dreaming of what's to come.

---

I walk through the front door, still feeling the warm glow of my secret smile with Jaehyun. But as I enter the living room, I'm greeted by my mom's serious expression.

"Riwoo, we need to talk," she says, her voice firm but gentle.

I feel my good mood start to deflate, wondering what's wrong. "What's up, Mom?"

My mom takes a deep breath, her eyes searching mine. "I know you've been spending a lot of time with your friends lately, and I'm happy to see you're making connections. But I also know that you've developing feelings for one of them."

I feel my face heat up, wondering how she knows. "Mom, how...?"

She smiles softly. "I may not be as clueless as you think, sweetie. I just want to remind you to be careful, to take things slow and not get too caught up in your emotions."

I nod, feeling a mix of emotions. I know my mom just wants what's best for me, but I also wish she could understand how I feel.

"Okay, Mom. I'll be careful," I promise, trying to reassure her.

She nods, her expression softening. "I trust you, Riwoo. Just remember, I'm here for you, no matter what."
