Riwoo's POV:

I walked into class, scanning the room for my friends. They were all chatting and laughing, oblivious to the overthinking brewing inside my brain. I spotted Sungho, sitting in his usual seat, and made my way over to him.

"Hey, Sungho, can I talk to you for a sec?" I asked, trying to sound casual.

Sungho looked up from his phone, curious. "What's up, Riwoo?"

I glanced around, making sure no one was listening. "I just...I don't know how to deal with all this. The haunted house, Jaehyun, my confused feelings...it's all so overwhelming."

Sungho's expression turned quite serious. "Riwoo, you need to relax. Take things one step at a time. And as for Jaehyun...just be honest with him. If he's a true friend, he'll accept you for who you are."

I nodded, feeling a weight lift off my shoulders. "Thanks, Sungho. Just talking to you makes me feel better."

As I returned to my seat, my eyes met Jaehyun's. I wished I could read his mind, know what he was thinking. Did he suspect anything? Did he feel the same way i was feeling?

Taesan, sitting behind me, nudged me with his elbow. "Hey, Riwoo, you okay? You've been staring at Jaehyun for ages."

I quickly looked at Jaehyun, making sure he didn't hear that, my face heating up. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just...thinking about something."

Taesan raised an eyebrow but didn't push the issue. I was grateful for that.

The teacher walked in, and we all settled in for another day of class. But my mind kept wandering back to Jaehyun, wondering what could be.

"Surprise test, everyone! Please take out a sheet of paper and pencil," the teacher announced, a sly smile spreading across her face.

The class erupted into chaos, with everyone panicking and scrambling to get ready. I was no exception, my heart racing as I frantically searched for a pencil.

The test was algebra, and my mind went blank as I stared at the questions. "Solve for x: 2x^2 + 5x - 3 = 0" - how the fuck do I solve this?!

My internal panic reached new heights as I struggled to remember the formulas. I glanced around, seeing my friends' equally confused faces.

After what felt like an eternity, the test ended, and we all breathed a collective sigh of relief.

As we regrouped, Woonhak groaned. "I'm so dead. My parents are going to kill me."

Under his breath, he muttered, "Stupid teacher...", like a little kid.

Taesan, sitting next to him, chuckled. "I think the teacher heard you, Woonhak."

Woonhak's eyes widened in horror. "No, I didn't say that out loud, did I?"

We all burst out laughing, releasing some of the tension.

As we prepared for the next lesson, I couldn't help but think about the test. Did I really fail that badly? And what about Jaehyun...did he do okay?

Jaehyun's POV:

---

I walked into the cafeteria, scanning the room for my friends. I spotted them at our usual table and made my way over.

As I sat down, Riwoo caught my eye, and I felt a bit weird. I quickly looked away, not wanting to make a big deal out of it.

"So, how did you guys do on the test?" I asked, trying to sound casual.

Woonhak groaned. "I'm going to fail for sure."

Taesan chuckled. "Don't worry, Woonhak, we'll all fail together."

Riwoo just shook his head, smiling.

I turned to him, trying to make conversation. "Hey, Riwoo, did you study for the test?"

Riwoo nodded, his eyes sparkling. "Yeah, I studied really hard." He obviously lied based on his facial expressions during that test.

I grinned, feeling a bit amused. "Yeah, me too...I think."

Leehan, sitting across from us, spoke up. "Wait, what test?"

We all stared at him in utter shock.

Kim Leehan, what goes through your mind.

Riwoo's POV:

---

I sat at my desk, pouring over my algebra notes, trying to make sense of the complicated formulas. Just as I was starting to get frustrated, I heard a knock at the door.

"Come in!" I called out, expecting it to be one of my family members.

But to my surprise, Sungho walked in, a cheerful grin on his face. "Hey, Riwoo! Your parents let me in. I told them I was your friend."

I rolled my eyes, laughing. "Yeah, right. More like you charmed them into letting you in."

Sungho chuckled, flopping down onto my bed. "Hey, whatever works, right?"

We spent the next hour going over algebra formulas, Sungho explaining them in a way that actually made sense to me. I was grateful for his help.

As we worked, my mom called out from downstairs, "Riwoo, Sungho, dinner's ready!"

Sungho's eyes lit up. "Yes, food! I'm starving!"

I laughed, standing up. "You're always starving."

We headed downstairs, where Sungho proceeded to charm my family with his easy smile and witty banter. Even my dad, who was usually reserved around new people, was won over by Sungho's warm personality.

As we sat down to eat, I felt grateful for Sungho's friendship. He was becoming more than just a friend - he was like a brother.
