Venus finished getting ready just in time for Lucifer to get back. He showered quickly and then they were ready to go.

She was surprised when, instead of Wes driving them somewhere, the two of them walked down the street.

Her baby blue dress with minimal golden details blew slightly in the hot, dry breeze, Lucifer seemingly unaware of the slit that began at mid thigh and went all the way to the bottom of the dress.

“Where are we going?” Venus questioned after walking for fifteen minutes with no clear idea.

“Cannibal Town. . . Charlie asked someone for a small favor and they were kind enough to accommodate.” He replied, the sign for that part of town coming into view.

Venus had seen that sign a number of times but had never been to Cannibal Town, yet she had heard from Charlie that it was one of the nicer parts of Hell. The inhabitants were questionable at times, but wasn't everyone?

They walked for a few more minutes before he guided her in the direction of a shop that had a closed sign hanging in the window. Before Venus could question anything, Lucifer knocked three times and the door swung open seconds later, revealing a woman with completely black eyes and a large sharp toothed smile.

“Oh, come in come in! Charlie said you'd be on your way. She was a tad stressed, but I told her to let Auntie Rosie take care of it.“ Rosie ushered them in before she was able to get a good look at the Asgardian Princess.

“You must be the same Venus I've heard so much about, oh! How darling! The garden is just through there.” She directed them towards the door on the far side of the emporium, watching with a broad smile as Lucifer silently thanked her and led Venus out the door.

The moment they stepped through the door, she was caught off guard by the beautiful flowers that bloomed just behind the shop. The reds, yellows, and pinks were a stunning sight to see.

She was so enthralled with the surplus of flowers that she didn't even hear Lucifer call her name the first time.

“Venus. . .” He said for the second time, grabbing her hand as they stopped in front of the same flowers that he had gotten her before their first date, stepping in front of her.

He squeezed her hand gently, bringing it up to his lips to kiss the back.
She stared at him intently, confusion flooding her features as her heart began beating faster.

“I. . . I need you to know that you mean the world to me.” He admitted, looking her in her eyes. He partially missed the blue, but the red staring down at him made him beyond happy.

“Lucifer, I —”

“I wasn't in a good place for a very long time. . . Lilith left me hurt and confused. . . I thought I needed her to feel like myself. . . I was depressed and thought I'd never be happy again. . . But really, I just needed to meet you. . . Like how I met you when I visited the hotel for the first time.”

Lucifer gently caressed her cheek with his free hand. “You came into my life and fixed everything she broke, and it only took a couple months. . . Now it's been years and you make me happy. . . You make me feel whole. Shit, what I'm trying to say is — will you marry me?” He blurted out, reaching for the ring he had in his pocket.

Immediately her gaze softened and she smiled as he presented the simple gold band with several tiny amethysts surrounding a larger diamond — amethysts, her true birthstone.

“Yes — yes, I'll marry you, Lucifer.” He placed the ring on her finger and immediately brought her into a passion filled kiss unlike any of the ones they'd shared before.

The news spread like wildfire throughout each and every realm and ring of Hell. Most were eager to catch a glimpse of the King of Hell and his future Queen, so they stayed out of view for the most part.

Venus began to ask Angel Dust a question and before she could ask, he was already agreeing to be one of the wedding planners. He had joked about it, but it made the most sense for Angel and Frigga to go through it all together. . . Especially since Venus and Lucifer decided the wedding would take place on Asgard.

Thor, Loki, and Heimdall acted as the middle men, relaying information and ideas, occasionally Venus or Lucifer would be asked an important question that was directly related to the outcome of the planning process.

Angel took his job seriously. No detail was overlooked, no matter how small it seemed.

And eventually a date was set — September second of the following year, as it would land on a Friday. It was the earliest Frigga could pull everything together on her end.

She'd waited years for Venus to even be in a relationship, she was eager to see her daughter warmly embracing married life and becoming the best wife she could be.

Peter was more than ecstatic to hear that Charlie would technically be his sister. They got along nicely and they both adored watching their parents be happy together.

Before Venus knew it, months had passed and it was time for her and Lucifer to go to Asgard to get their measurements done for their wedding attire. . . Angel and Charlie followed right behind the couple the entire way.

The royal seamstresses took every possible measurement they'd need and wrote it down in their miniature leather-bound journals, as well as fabric preferences.

The color scheme was entirely up to Frigga, as Venus and Lucifer didn't care very much. . . Though they both knew white and gold would be a common theme. . . Perhaps even some red.

(Short chapter. . . My bad. . . We're almost done here, though.)
