Chapter 4

Felix pov

I woke up the next morning, the weekend was over so i had to get ready for school. I brushed my teeth and grabbed my backpack and headed to school. I walked to school, my dad was coming home tomorrow. Great. Just great. I sighed as i entered school. I went to put my stuff in my locker and as i was about to leave to class, one of my bullies came up to me.

Before i could speak he started beating me up. I couldn't even react, i couldn't even cry, i couldn't even breathe. I wasn't able to even move, my body was so numb and weak. It wasn't too long before my vision went black, i couldn't see anything. Everything was black.

Once i gained consciousness i opened my eyes slowly and saw Hyunjin. "Felix! Are you okay?" I looked over at him, my body was aching so badly. "What happened?..." i asked him. "Someone was beating you up and before i could get to you, you blacked out. You weren't even reacting while getting beaten up though... you were just... frozen in your spot..."

I blinked for a second. "Yeah, i couldn't really react. I couldn't even breathe either. I don't know why." I sighed, heading to get up. "Woah what are you doing?" He asked. "Going to head to class?..." i replied. "U just blacked out and you're gonna head to class?" I blinked. "Yeah?... thats what i always do." Hyunjin paused for a moment. "Lix..." he grabbed my hands.

"Thats not okay... you need to rest after you faint... when was the last time you ate a full meal besides when we met up yesterday and you ate that sandwich." I paused for a moment. "Like 4 days ago..." i nervously said. "Lix..." i sighed. "Don't get mad.." he was probably gonna yell at me and hit me like everyone else does. "Why would i get mad?..." he said, i was in shock. "Why wouldn't you?..."

I asked, genuinely confused why he wasn't yelling and hitting me by now. "Oh lix..." he gave me a hug. Never knew i needed that hug, i don't think i've been hugged by anyone. Especially not by my father, oh hell no. He would never hug me. In fact, he would never even love me. I sighed.

Hyunjin pulled away from the hug. "You rest, i have to head to class. Do you have anyone to pick you up?" He asked, i paused. My dad doesn't come home until tomorrow, and even if he was home, he would've beat me if i made him pick me up. "No, i don't." I rubbed the back of my head nervously. "I can drop you off at my house... i could just go home with you." I blinked a couple times.

Don't go home because of me, don't skip school because of me, i don't want to be the reason you have to have hundreds of homework. Why does he care though? It's not like anyones cared before. So why is he caring. "Lix?" I heard a voice that snapped me back to reality. "Yeah? Hm what? Sorry i zoned out." I asked him. "Come on lets go... im taking you back to my house... you can't stay here when you're not well."

I blinked a couple times. "No it's fine, don't trouble yourself." I told him. "Lix, you're not troubling me. Just come on, let's go." I sighed and nodded. We headed out to his car, i was pretty quiet during the car ride. Im always quiet so it's not a surprise. When we arrived i was greeted by his mom. "Hey sweetie! Why are you home early? And who is this handsome young man?"

His mom asked that made Hyunjin turn a little red. "This my friend Felix... he fainted at school so i decided to bring him to my house since nobody could pick him up." Hyunjin told his mom. "Oh you poor thing, come ill make you some soup." I blinked in shock. My dad never did this when i fainted. He just beat me more for fainting.

Hyunjin pov

Why was my mom acting like this? How come she wasn't drunk like usual? How come she wasn't yelling like always? How come she didn't yell and beat me for bringing someone home? Maybe she can't cause a scene or something. Whatever, i've just never seen this side of her. I sat down next to Felix while Felix and my mom talked.

They were getting along better than me and my mom ever did. She's always yelling and beating me. She is never proud of me. But whatever, as long as they got along. "Hyunjin? Hyunjin? Are you gonna eat your soup?" I snapped out my thoughts. Wait, my mom made me soup? That's new. She never makes me dinner. I always have to make my own dinner or starve

Lately i've just been starving. Haven't been feeling it with food, thanks to my bullies. "Hyunjin? Hello?" Felix waved a hand in front of me. "Huh yeah? Sorry i zoned out." I shook my head as i picked up my spoon. It was weird eating again after starving for 4 days. The only thing i ate this week was that sandwich.

I started eating the soup, it made my stomach flip. Eating when i haven't eaten in a while always sucks. Ill just vomit it up later. After we ate Felix had to go. Which i wish he didn't but he did. After he left and i closed the door i was greeted with a slap. "How dare you bring him over without my permission?!" There was my mother that i knew. "Im gonna go drink at a bar. Ill come back tomorrow."

I nodded, she slapped me and hit me a couple times before she left. I sighed, i headed to my room, i went into the bathroom and grabbed my blade. Oh there goes my 1 week clean streak. I dragged the blade across my skin, the cold blade making stumble a little and making me cut deeper than i was supposed to. But, oh well.

Faster ways to get off this world then. I sighed as i cleaned the blade and put it away. I cleaned myself up and went in my bed. I curled up into a fetal position and went to sleep.
