In the quiet, sunlit classroom, Mingyu’s gaze was fixed intently on Wonwoo. The way his eyes softened when they landed on Wonwoo was unmistakable—there was something tender and warm that he couldn’t hide.

Wonwoo was deep in concentration, scribbling notes diligently, but Mingyu’s admiration was evident in his lingering looks. Mingyu's ex-girlfriend, Yoojung, sat a few rows back, her eyes darting between Mingyu and Wonwoo. She had noticed the way Mingyu's attention was unwaveringly directed at Wonwoo and felt a pang of jealousy.

It was a sharp contrast to the way Mingyu used to look at her. Her irritation grew as she tried to focus on her notes but found herself unable to ignore the scene unfolding in front of her.

After a while, she could no longer contain her frustration. She stood up abruptly and walked over to Mingyu, her steps quick and purposeful. "Mingyu," she said, her voice laced with a sharp edge. "What is it with you and Wonwoo? Why do you keep staring at him like that?"

Mingyu looked up, surprised by her sudden appearance and the irritation in her voice. “Yoojung, what’s wrong?” “Don’t play dumb with me. What’s so special about him?” she demanded, her arms crossing over her chest. Mingyu’s expression hardened slightly, but he took a deep breath.

“It’s not just about him, Yoojung. Wonwoo is kind, smart, and has this genuine quality that’s hard to find.

He’s also incredibly talented and supportive. I admire him for a lot of reasons, and frankly, I feel a connection with him that I haven’t felt before.”

Yoojung’s face flushed with anger. “So, you’re saying you like him more than you ever liked me?” “Yes,” Mingyu said firmly, his tone unyielding.

“We broke up because I realized how toxic our relationship had become. I had to apologize to my friends because I was too focused on being with you. So yes, I like Wonwoo, and I don’t have to explain it to you.”

Her eyes narrowed, and she opened her mouth to argue further, but before she could, Wonwoo glanced over at them. “Can you two keep it down? I’m trying to concentrate here.” Mingyu turned to Wonwoo, his expression softening.

“Anything for you, my prince,” he said with a smile that made Wonwoo’s cheeks turn a delicate pink. Wonwoo quickly turned his attention back to his notes, trying to hide his blush.

Yoojung’s anger reached its peak. She could hardly stand the sight of Mingyu’s affectionate words and Wonwoo’s shy reaction. Her hands clenched into fists, and she stormed back to her seat, fuming as she tried to make sense of the painful mix of jealousy and heartbreak swirling inside her.

In the meantime, Mingyu’s focus was solely on Wonwoo, his heart full of newfound admiration and affection. The classroom settled into an uneasy quiet, with Yoojung’s simmering anger contrasting sharply with Mingyu’s serene contentment.
