Regina’s POV

I watch Emma depart from our spot, after thoroughly making sure I’ll be at her house Friday night. We’re supposed to meet around 3pm, so this way if I can’t get away on time, we’ll still have ample time to clean up and help with dinner. I can still feel her lips lingering on mine after giving me a quick kiss before leaving. I can still feel the butterflies in my stomach from finally being able to express my feelings and know that they are reciprocated.

“See you tomorrow, Love” she calls out as she rides away on Cookie.

“Well, that was awfully sweet of Emma” a voice says.

I jump, feeling startled by the sudden voice coming from behind a tree. “Who are you?” I ask as I regain my regal composure.

“I am Katherine, one of Emma’s ex-girlfriends.”

“What are you doing here? How did you find this place?”

“I came here to warn you about Emma’s past.”

“Again, how did you find this place and what could you possibly want to warn me about?”

“Well, Emma brings everyone she dates here. She’s a manipulative person, My Queen. She will cheat on you and find a way into making you think it’s your own fault that she did.”

“I doubt that Emma would ever do something like that. I’ll be on my way now.”

“Fine, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

The seed of doubt has now been planted and now those thoughts have plagued my mind, as I make my way home. I’ll have to ask Em about this later. Once I get home, I begin my nightly routine and head off to bed.

-Time Just to 2:45pm-

I stand in front of my wardrobe looking for the perfect outfit. So many clothes, and yet I can’t find anything suitable to wear to dinner. I want to make sure I make a good first impression. Just when I was about to give up, I spotted a red and black dress that would be perfect for dinner. I neatly fold the dress and put it into my bag.

“Eddy!” I call out from inside my room.

“Yes, Your Majesty.”

I raise an eyebrow and smirk at him. “I’m about to leave. Can you please cover me?”

“Do you even have to ask? So what are you and your girlfriend planning to be doing today?”

“N-no, she’s not my girlfriend, yet. We haven’t put a label on what we are, we’ve only now expressed our interest towards each other. However, I am going to meet her parents today.”

“Isn’t that something people do when they are dating? But anyways, whatever you guys are, please tell me that’s not what you’re wearing to meet the parents.” He says in a mocking tone.

“First of all, rude. No, this is not what I’m wearing.” I pull out the red dress for him to see. “This is what I’ll be wearing for dinner.”

“Danggg, girl. Oookay” he says with emphasis. “And you’re sure you aren’t dating already?”

I feel the blush making its presence on my cheeks. “Whatever, Eddy. I have to go now, thank you for covering me!”

I go back into my room and begin climbing down from my balcony to get to Rocinante. After getting him ready, we leave to the trail before anyone can notice us. We ride down the trail and it's not too long after that I see Emma. I climb off Rocinante, but then the thoughts begin to swirl through my mind as I remember what Katherine said. Emma seems to notice something is off with me. As I make my way over to her she gently lifts up my chin with the knuckle of her index finger to look me in the eye.
