Rookie Chandler

I pulled out a smoke and struggled to find the lighter. Once I did find the missing treasure, I lit it. "I'd prefer it if you smoked outside of the car to smoke," Mia said. "It wasn't a problem before," I answered, shocked since she would smoke with me in her car; now suddenly she wants me to smoke outside. "Well, it is now," She replied, clicking her tongue against the top of her mouth. "Okay...why though?" I asked, prepared to hear another rant about something that probably wouldn't make sense afterwards. "Don't worry about it, alright?! God, you're annoying sometimes." Even through a mumble, I heard her say it. In a not so pleasant tone, either.

Why is she my girlfriend again?

"As you wish," I shrugged and pulled the car door's handle to step outside, only to feel her nails dig into my skin as she holds a death grip on my hand. I give her a questioning look; normally she would do this whenever she was mad or upset. Some say it's abuse, but there's something about me that just couldn't care what kind of pain I'd endure. It just felt like I deserved it in some sort of way.

"You're not going to put it out?" She asked me eventually. I shrug again, not too sure why she's being so difficult with me all of a sudden. It made no sense whatsoever, but like I've always said, 'to each their own, I guess'. I've just come to the conclusion that all girls are difficult lately; they always get all worked up over nothing.

"Why would I? I haven't even taken a single puff yet. I won't waste a perfectly good smoke when you saw me take it out and light it—may I add the struggle to find the lighter to that? And only when I light it, you say something!" Maybe I was being a bit harsh, but this damn woman was getting on my nerves. She can't even tell me she didn't see me when I watched her watch me.

She raises her hands in the air before letting them fall, letting them slap her knees; a dramatic effect I noticed that girls had. "Get out if you're going to disrespect me like that!" She shouted, and it caused me to jump back a little out of shock. Just a minute ago she was fine! So what happened? I sure as hell know I wasn't going to deal with it. So off I went out of her car and walk home. It's fine though, I need the exercise lately. I've noticed I have been gaining more weight left and right. Not eating hasn't done the trick, so maybe walking for a while will.

All because of a damn cigarette.
