No one ever told me that grief felt so like fear. I am not afraid, but the sensation is like being afraid. The same fluttering in the stomach, the same restlessness, the yawning. I keep on swallowing.

I rushed to the accident site, my heart racing with every step. A local passerby had found Heedo's phone and called me, informing me of the horrific crash. I was the emergency contact listed in Heedo's phone, and the stranger's words still echoed in my mind: "They're badly hurt, you need to get here fast!"

As I arrived, I saw Heedo, Hana, and Rowoon, my young nephew, lying motionless on the ground. My world stopped. I felt like I was in a nightmare. I rushed to their side, calling for an ambulance as I assessed the situation.

Heedo's face was pale, his eyes sunken. Hana's leg was twisted at an awkward angle, and Rowoon... Rowoon's small body was limp, his face bruised. I felt a wave of nausea wash over me as I saw the extent of their injuries.

I helped the paramedics load them into the ambulance, my shirt getting stained with their blood as I supported Heedo's head. The journey to the hospital was a blur, my mind racing with thoughts of the worst.

In the ambulance, Heedo's eyes flickered open, his gaze locking onto mine. He whispered words, his voice barely audible, as he reached out for my hand. I grasped it, feeling his weak pulse.

"Heeseung... please... take care... of... our son..." Heedo's voice trailed off, his eyes closing as he struggled to stay conscious.

I felt a lump form in my throat as I replied, "I will, Hyung. I promise. You just focus on getting better."

But deep down, I knew it was a promise I might not be able to keep. Heedo hyung's condition looked grim, and I feared the worst.

As we arrived at the hospital, the medical team rushed to attend to them. I was left standing outside, my shirt stained with their blood, my heart heavy with fear and uncertainty.

And then, the thoughts came flooding back...

I feel like my world is falling apart miserably, and I can't do anything to save it. Why now? Why now when I was about to be happy finally? I was about to start a new chapter with the love of my life, Nina, my little family, my Hyung, Hana and ... Rowoon.

I grasped his hand tighter, my voice shaking with emotion. "I will, Hyung. I promise. I'll take care of Rowoon, no matter what. But please, you and Hana, you have to hold on. You have to be alive. I need you, Rowoon needs you. We all need you."

I felt a lump form in my throat as I begged him to stay with us. "Don't leave us, Hyung. Please. I'll do anything. Just don't leave us."

Heedo's eyes flickered open again, his gaze weak but determined. "I... trust... you... Heeseung. My...  little... brother."

I felt tears streaming down my face as I nodded, my voice barely above a whisper. "I am your brother, Hyung. And I'll always be here for you guys and Rowoon. But please, you have to fight. You have to stay with us."
