Chapter 43 - Episodes 18 & 19 Parts

THE COCKPIT – May holds the phone to her ear, Coulson beside her. The man on the other end of the call isn't who May normally reports to. "Director Fury is dead."

"Where is Specialist Ravena?" May asks, she and Coulson sharing shocked looks.

"Ravena's been forced on the run from people hunting her," the man says. "She has a message for your team. Everyone on the team can be trusted."

THE HUB – Fitz, May, Coulson and Garrett stand in the monitor room, discussing what to do with Agent Hand. "You don't put someone like her on ice," Garrett argues. "She had Skye shot in the stomach, in the stomach! Because she was curious. She had Ravena stabbed multiple times, just because of her powers. Mike Peterson, burned alive and turned into some kind of freak. She took his son, not once but twice!"

May looks at Garrett wide eyed, the woman stepping closer to Coulson and tapping his arm. "She tortured you, using the same machine she used to brainwash that bitch in the flower dress," Garrett continues rambling. Coulson's eyes grow wide in shock as well. "And right now, she's probably doing the same to Agent Simmons. Oh, I've considered it plenty, my friend."

"I never mentioned that," Coulson mutters.

"And Rosalie only told three people about Ace," May tells Coulson. "Garrett wasn't one of them."

"I'm telling you, killing her quickly would be a mercy," Garrett presses on with the idea.

"I never said Raina had been inside the machine," Coulson says a bit louder. "I never told that to anybody."

"And Rosalie never told you about Ace," May reveals. "Only me and two other people."

"I must have read it all in a report then," Garrett argues.

"You weren't with us," Coulson contines. "You showed up right after... after Skye was shot, and Rosalie stabbed. Quinn said it was so I would lead the Clairvoyant to the cure. That more of Rosalie's powers would be revealed. I did both of those things. I walked you right in there with me," Coulson says.

"And the only way you could know about Ace, is if you gave the order yourself," May explains. "You had her stabbed, to remove the threat of her interference when you had Ace taken. You don't know what she's capable of, you wanted her taken out of the equation completely. To be able to take Ace and not have her retasked to D.c."

TRANSPORT JET – Grant sits in the plane, watching Garrett with anger. Anger for what he was put through. Anger at the abuse and torment given by the man he once called a friend. But a new light helped him realize, there are different ways to get back at people. Ways that don't involve murdering every single person in your way or breaking peoples trust.

"Agent Ward?" Hand asks. "You shot the wrong Clairvoyant before, do you care to shoot the right one?"

Grant stands up from his seat, pulling his gun out and loading it to fire. Hand continues staring at Garrett, smirking in victory. Grant pulls out another gun, a small blue light emitting from it. Grant aims the second one at Agent Shaw who stands at alert, quickly firing four rounds at him. Grant aims at Agent Jacobson, doing the same. The sound emitted from the second gun sounds like it's an actual gun, but on the bodies of both unconscious men are faint blue lines.

Grant turns to Hand, aiming the real gun at the shocked woman. He fires at the woman, her body falling to the floor. Grant steps closer to her, firing three more shots into Hand's body. Garrett grins sadistically, pleased with the act of loyalty. All doubt seems to leave Garrett's eyes and mind, truly believing that Grant is loyal to him and him alone.
