Chapter 44-
The team sit and stand in Koeing's office, discussing where Skye and Grant could have gone. "We have a theory," Coulson begins explaining gently. "Ward is HYDRA and Rosalie knew about it all along."
"Wh...what?" Fitz breathes out dazed. "No. No, I–I don't believe this."

Chapter 45-
Rose gasps for breath, wheezing out a pained breath. The small disc is attached to her chest, Holloway kneeled beside her and applying the adamantium knife to Rose's stomach.
"What did you do to her?" Skye asks.
"I stopped her heart and Holloway is applying heat," Mike explains.
"Where do we unlock the drive?" Holloway asks.
"I started the hack," Skye explains. "And once we reach altitude it unlocks. Now bring her back!" Skye orders.

Rose now stands in front of Mike, the cuffs gone but the man holding her arm roughly. "You have me interested in what you want with me, Garrett," Rose says, "meaning I won't run or use any powers to defend myself. In exchange, I'm able to roam freely on my plane."
"You can't heal yourself either," Mike says.
"Deal."
Rose is smacked across the cheek, blood trickling out of the small cut. "A message from a branch of HYDRA," Mike says. "Welcome home Isolde."
Fear and panic flashes through Rose's eyes, Holloway smirking.

Hill and Coulson stand in the motel room. "We'll need a base of operations, weapons, and tactical backup," Coulson lists off.
"There is no backup," Hill tells Coulson. "It's over. There is no S.H.I.E.L.D anymore." Hill walks to the door, turning back to Coulson. "Ward is one of the good ones," Hill assures, "ask Rosalie, she'll tell you everything."

JUVENILE SECURE UNIT – PLYMOUTH, MASSACHUSTTES — FLASHBACK

A high fence sits guarding the prison yard, the big brick walls of a prison building behind the fence.

INSIDE – FIFTEEN YEARS AGO

A tall and lanky boy is led into the cafeteria, his jet black hair a stark contrast to the bright orange jumpsuit. He is brought to a door, the security guard holding it open for the young man.

"Grant Ward?" John Garrett asks, sitting at a table and waiting for the younger version of Grant. The same Grant that Rose saw in the memories her son let her see. Grant walks closer to Garrett, confused on why he's there. "My name's John Garrett," Garrett introduces himself. The man himself is much younger, watching the young man in front of him. "The Quartermaster at your military school's an old buddy of mine," Garrett explains.

The two men stand in the visiting area of the prison building, other people in the room as well. The people and other prisoners chat amongst themselves, focused on their own problems. "He told me about a pissed off young cadet with off the charts hand eye coordination who went AWOL, stole a car," Garrett explains, listing off the things young Grant did. "And then drove a thousand miles home only to try and burn the place down. I must say, I find a young man like that intriguing," Garrett admits. The man gestures over to the table, waving young Ward over to sit down. The younger version of the man does so, still looking at Garrett with a poker face. "I'm curious," Garrett says. "Did you know your brother was in the hose when you set it on fire?"

"No, sir, I did not," young Grant answers. But the answer is robotic, like it's been rehearsed.

Garrett smirks though. "I was a pyro as a kid, too," Garrett reveals. "Ended up making a pretty good living at it. I'm here to make you a one-time offer, so listen up," Garrett orders, receiving a nod from young Grant. "Your family's lawyer's gonna be here in about 20 minutes. Not only are your folks pressing charges against you for arson and attempted murder, but your older brother's petitioning the court to have you tried as an adult," Garrett explains.
