Captured Chapter Six

Avaele woke up, the sun shining down onto her face. She felt the ground, searching for the comfort of the sleeping bag. Her eyes were closed, taking in the sun. She didn't feel the sleeping bag, she felt...leaves. Her eyes snapped open and she found out that she was on Christopher's leaf bed and that she was tied to a different tree.

She looked around and saw Christopher stuffing the sleeping bag into his messanger bag. He looked frustrated. "You know, if you wantit to fit, you have to roll it up the right way." she laughed. "Oh, were you a girl scout or something?" he said sarcastically, still frustrated. "Actually, yes. I got the most patches and was voted the leader of our group." Avaele replied, smugly. 'Oh, burn.' she thought, and chuckled to herself.

"Fine, you do it." he said. "I can't." she replied. "Do it." he demanded. "You can't boss me around!" she said. Christopher moved over to her, and she backed away, scared. He backed her up to a tree, and pinned her to it. He stood inches away from her, but she made herself look brave. He chuckled,"I have you tied up." He stepped closer and Avaele's heart started beating uncontrollably hard. "Of course I can." he whispered in her ear. He backed away, and she glared at him. Avaele relunctantly rolled up the sleeping bag perfectly in no time. 'I'm done." she said coldly. Christopher looked a little suprised. "I was a girl scout, remember?" she said, to make him annoyed.

Christopher fastened his bag shut, and took out a pocket knife. Avaele was a little nervous, but she stood her ground. Christopher cut off the ropes that bound her ankles, and she sat down to rub them. When she felt better, she stood up. Christopher took the rope that was tied to the tree and the bindings on Avaele's wrists, and cut it off the tree.

He smirked and pulled on the rope, forcing Avaele to walk towards him. She tried to dig her feet into the soil, but she tripped on a tree root and fell towards Christopher. Christopher caught her in his arms, with Avaele's hands on his chest. She couldn't help but look up. Their faces were centimeters apart. Avaele's breath caught in her throat.

Christopher leaned towards her ear. "You're clumsy." he whispered. She blushed and turned to walk away, but after two steps, she couldn't move anymore. She whirled around and glared at the smirking Christopher. "This rope is like a retractable leash. You're not going to get very far." he informed her.

Still holding the rope, he picked up his messanger bag and started walking, pulling Avaele along. He paused for a moment to look at his map, and continued walking.

Aevale was tired of being pulled along, so she stepped forward, falling into step with Christopher. They didn't look at eachother , so they looked around them. They were still in the forest, and it was beautiful.

"Where are you taking me?" Avaele finally asked. "None of your beeswax."he said, smirking. "Cheap, just cheap." Avaele mumbled. "What was that?" Christopher asked, obviously knowing what she said. "Oh, nothing." she said, faking a smile. Christopher was caught off guard by her eyes-again, and her long brown hair.

"Avaele?"he said. He felt bad for ripping her away from her home. "Yes?" she asked. Christopher stopped and faced her. He completely forgot what he was going to say. He brought his hand up to her hair, and played with it, stepping closer. Avael's heart beat faster and faster every milimeter that he got closer. Avaele couldn't keep it in any longer.

A tear escaped her eye and her lip quivered. "I want to go home." she wimpered. Christopher pulled her close to him and she didnt fight back, so he held her, She rested her head on his shoulder. Right then, she didn't want to move, she felt safe, even though Christopher was the one who captured her. "I'm sorry. I hope you can." he said quietly.
