Y/N stood in the living room, her heart racing as she adjusted her outfit for the third time. Today Jungkook had brought his parents over to meet her family, and this was the moment she had been waiting.
They were fixing her and Jungkook's marriage date, and all of this just felt too surreal. Like some dream come true.
Sam and Mrs. Seo were in the kitchen, discussing arrangements for the dinner, while Jungkook's parents were seated comfortably in the living room, chatting amiably with Skye.
Y/N sneakily hid herself behind the wall stealing glances at Mr. and Mrs. Jeon who were busy talking things, she caught snippets of conversation, but her focus was drawn to Jungkook, who was leaning against the couch, a playful grin on his face.
"Look at my hero looking deadly handsome," Y/N whispered to herself in a dreamy sigh while gawking at Jungkook.
Suddenly their eyes met and Jungkook winked at her. Y/N gulped as she felt her cheeks heat up instantly at the gesture. She couldn't help but smile back, her heart fluttering.
Suddenly, her phone chimed with a notification, and she unlocked it to see a message from Jungkook.
"You look so good I could eat you up!" she read, her heart racing.
Licking her lips, she typed back, "You look handsome and mine."
Y/N secretly observed Jungkook's reaction to her text as he dramatically placed his hand over his chest, rubbing the spot where his heart was, his expression making her laugh and blush at the same time.
"Such a Romeo," she tsked, shaking her head.
It was these little things he did that made her feel like the only person in the room, making her feel so special.
His presence alone was enough to make her love him and herself.
As they exchanged playful texts, Jungkook sent another message, "If you're dessert, I'm definitely craving seconds."
Y/N couldn't help but giggle, her cheeks warming. She replied, "Well, I hope you have a big appetite then. I have plenty to offer."
He responded quickly, "Oh, I'm always hungry for you. Just don't keep me waiting too long."
With a teasing smile, she typed back, "Patience is a virtue, but I might just have to make an exception for you."
They continued to steal glances at each other, their eyes sparkling with mischief. Jungkook sent a wink emoji, and she felt butterflies in her stomach.
