Jonathan's POV

Nettie was busy for the next few weeks because of her work. Ah..she truly is amazing. I would usually pop by sometimes when she had a conference or while I had patrol and pay her a visit on her rooftop for lunch. I sat with her on a bench on the roof, my arms holding me up and Nettie leaning back against my chest. I couldn't think of anywhere else I wanted to be.

She suddenly sat up and I raised a brow. "What's wrong?" She smiled, "I have another talk show to do later, and a free ticket. Wanna come?" I smiled as well, "Of course. What time?" She dug into her pocket and handed me a ticket, "7 o'clock. Can you make it?" I nodded as I pulled her into a hug.

A few minutes later, I had to get back to patrol and so I left, flying away. Evening came and I got ready to go see Nettie. "Bye, Mom!" She smiled, "Be safe honey." I saw the limo waiting outside. I hopped in and saw Nettie, the kwamis and Jerry who was driving. When I saw Nettie, my cheeks turned pink. She was beautiful...

Trixx: *giggles* "Don't stare too long, you might burn a hole through her.

Nettie: Trixx, don't say that!

Ziggy: Aww, he's in love.

Xuppu: Two little monkeys sitting in a tree...

Stompp/Roarr/Xuppu: K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!

Marinette and I were a blushing mess. Thanks to the effort of Tikki and Sass, they quieted down. I sighed then gently took her hand in mine. "You look beautiful..I mean it." She smiled a little, "Thanks. You look handsome too.." We stopped a few blocks away and so Nettie turned to me. "Okay. We can make our relationship public but I know that would make your hero life a bit difficult. So you have the option to step out here and walk..or fly."

I wasn't mad because I understood where she was coming from. "I'll jump out here. I'll see you inside, beautiful." I closed the door as she drove off. I simply walked on over as it was only a block away. I arrived and I saw why she wanted me to get out when I did. The entrance was swarmed with fans and paparazzi.

I saw another entrance to the side and entered, showing my ticket. Inside was huge and everything looked so fancy and refined. I smiled as I walked around and made my way to the room in which the talk show would take place and took a seat close to the front. After about 15 minutes, the room was packed and the show was about to begin.

I heard it was going to be played live on Celeb-Gram so I told the batboys about it. The host was none other than Gordon Godfrey. Now this was going to be interesting. The conversation was going well and the crowd clapped when needed. I just smiled seeing her doing her thing. Mr. Godfrey then asked another question from behind his desk, "Now Nettie, what is your take on the current mediocrity of heroes and if you had the choice, would you join the Justice League?"

She frowned, "I'm afraid I don't follow, Mr. Godfrey. What do you mean by 'mediocrity'?" He grinned, "At the pace they're moving and the damage they're causing, there won't be much left of the Earth. Not to mention meta-human trafficking is still on the rise. What is the point of heroes if they don't do anything heroic?" She gave a soft smile.

Marinette: Mr. Godfrey. I'm sorry to say but you and I don't see eye-to-eye at all. Although they may fail, they still try. Although they may die, their memory still lives on through their deeds. A hero's status or significance isn't measured by their power but by their actions. Behind their mask, is a human with but a few modifications, whether it be done by heredity genes or transplanted genes like those done to meta-teens. The Justice League and The Outsiders are all trying their best, you, Mr. Godfrey, only see their downfalls whereas I see their victories. Tell me Mr. Godfrey, can you lift an entire cargo ship and fly it back to shore?
