Marinette's POV

The next day, the Mansion seemed...quiet. At the moment, Damian and I were training..more like he was just using that as an excuse to beat me up. My self defence was helping but not against a son of Batman. Once again I was pushed down and once again, Jerry yelped at my fall.

"Ouch..." Damian's phone chimed and he went to check it. He went silent for a while before responding. "We won't be going over to Kent's today." I raised a brow, "How come?" He shrugged and came back over to the platform. "Now then, that leaves more time for me to train you until you break."

I shuddered as he smirked. "I'm calling for a break." I stood up and walked over to Jerry who babied me. I groaned. After about 5 minutes, I went back to training with Damian. After about 5 hours I managed to land a hit on the miserable assassin.

I faked a downward kick and quickly spun around, swinging around and sending another downward kick with my other leg. I smiled. He usually just dodged my attacks but this time, he needed to block my attack. "Yes! I did it! Jerry, did you see that?!" Damian rolled his eyes.

"If the bodyguard didn't see, we definitely did." Jason said. We all turned around and saw the rest of the batsons walking towards us with the kwamis, each holding a small piece of cake. "Oh, hey boys." I called out only for Damian to swipe my feet, landing me on the ground.

"Eyes on your opponent, popstar." I groaned, "Tt.. Now you have me doing it." I got up and we both made our way off the platform. "I see the little demon is beating you up, cupcake." I nodded as Jerry handed me a bottle of water. "Bruce will be away for a few weeks so we'll be on our own." Dick informed us.

Bruce must be a very hard worker if he upholds his business, many bat kids and his alter ego. I commend him. "Well, I'll be making dinner tonight just so you guys know." Jason's eyes sparkled. "Really!? What are you making?" I shrugged, "What do you boys want? I'll make it..assuming I know what the dishes are.."

"Hmm, we've been craving some chinese.." Tim muttered. I smiled, "I can do chinese. Anything in particular?" Dick smiled, "What about sesame chicken?" I nodded. "Is jasmine rice and some veg okay to go along with it, or maybe noodles?" Jason sighed, "I wanted fried shrimp.." Tim rolled his eyes, "You just had to be different."

While those three bickered, I turned to Damian. "What would you like? It doesn't have to be chinese though." He paused and thought. His face made me giggle a bit. "I think..it's called sesame garlic chilli oil noodles. That should be fine." I smiled, "Cool. Dick, Jason, Tim."

When I called on them, they went quiet. "It's alright, I can make both if you guys want. I don't mind. Though..it might take some time. I'll let you all know when it's done." And with that I went back upstairs with the kwamis and Jerry to the kitchen where I found Alfred already waiting.
~~~~~
He helped me prepare the food and after about an hour or so, the food was ready. Alfred plated the food for his young masters while I dealt with Damian's along with a bowl of vegetable potstickers and another with vegetable stir fry. I didn't realise but I made a lot...
I called up the boys and they all sat at the table as Alfred brought out their food as did I with the other bowls and drinks. "Please enjoy and if there is something that's not to your liking please let me know." I said before taking my seat. "Thanks blueberry, everything looks delicious." Dick smiled before the rest of them thanked me.
I glanced at Damian as he took a bite of the food and he nodded. I felt relieved knowing it was good. "The potstickers are vegetable so you can have them too." I mentioned and he took one. I must admit the atmosphere is quite nice here. Suddenly the door opened and two girls walked in.
"Oh, Jason we spoke about inviting girls over-" "Hey! It's not like that!" He quickly retorted. "I'm sorry. Let me introduce myself. My name's Nettie and as of yesterday, I officially joined the Outsiders." I stood up making my way over to them. The girl with the blonde hair smiled. "Oh I see. Haha. My name is Stephanie Brown. And this is Cassandra Cain. We're Spoiler and Orphan."
Oh, so there's another Cassandra. Cool. I shook both their hands and smiled, "Nice to meet you both. Oh and the other guy over there is my bodyguard Jerry.. Also.." Tikki tapped both their foreheads and they flinched. "This is my superpower. Those little creatures are called kwamis." I chuckled awkwardly.
"There're so many.." Cassandra mumbled. We made our way back towards the table and I spoke, "I made dinner if you two want to join us. It's chinese." They nodded and Alfred brought out two plates for them. "It's delicious. Did you really make this?" Stephanie questioned. I nodded.
We talked and I told them my situation and it was nice to meet other girls around my age beside Alya and Kagami. All the outsiders including the bat-family were incredibly nice. "Damn, that seems rough.." Stephanie remarked. I shrugged. Cassandra then pointed at Damian. "So he's been responsible for training you?"
I nodded with a sad sigh. "I pity you. How's that been going?" she questioned. I frowned, "Not so great.." Stephanie patted my shoulder, "Well now you have the two of us if you want more help. Feel free to ask." I grinned, "Thanks you two. That means a lot."
Everyone finished eating and so we cleared the table and cleaned the dishes. Earlier I had started making the macarons but didn't finish them so now I did. The kwamis sat impatiently on the counter as I placed the trays in the oven. That's when I saw Damian leaning against the doorframe.
"What, you're waiting for the macarons too?" I smirked, clearly teasing him. "Tt, don't be ridiculous." He groaned walking in. "Kent says he won't be able to continue your training for a while." he continued. I frowned. "Can you disclose the reason?" He shook his head. I sighed, "Alrighty then.."
After about 12-13 minutes, I took out the trays and they were ready. While they cooled I prepped the filling. Damian surprisingly watched me while standing in a corner of the kitchen. After a few minutes, I piped the filling onto the shells and made the macaron sandwiches. "Done. You want the first try? I didn't make them that sweet." I gestured at Damian.
He walked back over and took one, taking a bite. "It's alright." I gave one to each of the kwamis and they happily ate them. I made about 4 dozen so I'd have more than enough left for the rest of the bat-fam. I packed the remainder into a container and placed them into the fridge.
I gagged upon smelling the scent of camembert. I turned around and saw Plagg with a piece of that smelly cheesy sitting on the counter. "Where did you even get that? You just had a macaron." He chuckled, "Where there's camembert, there's Plagg, and vice versa kid. You should try some."
I made my way out of the kitchen with Damian and the other kwamis and went upstairs to our room. "Goodnight Damian, and thanks again for training me. Although I think you just wanted someone to beat up." He softly chuckled as he opened the door to his room which was next to mine, going inside.
I went into mine and sighed, flopping back onto the bed. What a day... I was tired but..I couldn't help but smile as I replayed the events of today in my head. I think..I'm gonna like it here.
I'm gonna like it here
