Marinette's POV

Jonathan's been acting distant lately. I wasn't sure why. I tried contacting him, via calls and messages and nothing was working. I wanted him to be the first to know that I'd be continuing with the Outsiders but instead, I told Damian. I sighed. Maybe I should visit him tomorrow..though it would be rude to come uninvited. Could I maybe ask Zatanna?

As I laid back in bed, I thought about the past week. Now that my identity has been revealed, it'll be harder to avoid the press. Wait- maybe I shouldn't avoid the press. Then again my friends can be in greater danger if I did do that. But there's no denying the evidence being the live footage circulating the internet. *groans* This sucks... The kwamis just sat silently around me on my bed. I turned to Tikki who smiled.

Tikki: Don't linger too much on it, Marinette.

Kaalki: She's right. It'll give you wrinkles.

Wazz: I think wrinkles are the least of her problems now. Marinette, I think that you shouldn't hesitate. If you want the world to know it and be in the spotlight then do that. I'm sure your friends will understand.

Barkk: Wazz is right. Trust in yourself, and everything will be fine.

Marinette: *smiles* Thanks guys. But what do I do about Jon?

Plagg: That's simple. Barge into his house and demand answers-

Sass: Plagg, are you serious!?

Stompp: I agree. Demand those answers!

Nooroo: I don't know...

Duusuu: I must incline to agree, ma'am. Love is such a fleeting thing us kwamis don't quite comprehend. But I can see it clearly. True spouses do not lie to another, but communicate. You two love birds need to communicate!

Marinette: I don't know...

Tikki then sat on my forehead and said, "Marinette, we kwamis can only give advice and magical powers. The choice is yours and as Guardian, you need to make these decisions on your own. We'll be right there with you along with Luka, Alya, Kagami and Nino. Trust in yourself." I smiled and pulled all of them in for a group hug, "Thanks kwamis. I'll go see him tomorrow morning."

Jonathan's POV

About 2 days ago, an unexpected guest arrived at our house. Or I should say, they fell at our doorstep. My dad heard the noise and opened the door to find none other than the so-called Supergirl we fought a while back. My eyes widened when I saw my dad offering her a glass of water in our living room. I was shocked to say the least.

She was wearing her suit and said her name was Kara Zor-El. My eyes widened. Is she actually related to my dad? He looked as surprised as I was. "Where were you all this time?" my dad asked. She looked down, "As long as I can remember..I think I was sent to the Phantom Zone and have been there for most of my life. A little while ago, I was removed and was placed in the hands of an old woman."

I narrowed my eyes, "You mean you aided Granny Goodness. You and the Female Furies attacked us on a mission." Her eyes widened, "I-I..did..? I'm sorry.. To be honest, I don't remember anything after I was turned over to Granny Goodness. I don't recall any of the bad things I did. I'm really sorry if I hurt you and your friends."

My dad continued, "How did you escape?" She rested her hand on the back of her neck. "I-I think..I was being controlled by some chip on the back of my neck. I think it was damaged and I was able to gain some control of my body and thoughts again. I was in an unknown place with other girls and a guy. He was really big, tall, and had three scars across his face."

Vandal.. She took another sip of the water. "A portal opened and we were told to enter. Once on the other side, I flew away from them and managed to escape. I wandered around the city for a few hours before I heard a familiar voice. Yours.." She looked at me and I had to admit, I was on my way home from patrol. "I followed and that's how I wound up here."

I wasn't sure whether to believe her or not. My Dad sighed then smiled, "Well you are free to stay here with us for the time being. Jon, can you show her to the guest room please." I nodded and told her to follow me. Once there I left her alone in the room. "Thank you.." she said. "Yeah, no problem." I replied. Should I tell the team..or not? Her being controlled is a possible excuse for her actions. Maybe they were controlling her from the start, and her actions weren't her own.

So now, 2 days later, I flopped back on my bed to feel my phone vibrate. Hmm, did I take off the sound? I opened it and saw a bunch of missed calls and messages from Nettie. Ah crap.. I quickly called her back. But as it rang, the doorbell rang. I raised a brow. I made my way down the stairs to see Mom talking to Nettie.

She suddenly grew tense as she saw Kara sitting on the couch with Grandma. She quickly called out to Plagg but I immediately stopped her. "Hey, Hey, Hey, wait. She's not with the Furies anymore. She was chipped and being controlled." She narrowed her eyes at her, "That's not what I see. I see Klarion's magic around her."

I looked back at Kara and then at Nettie. "If you don't trust her, trust me." I said calmly. She sighed and agreed. I took her up to my room and explained the full story.

Marinette: I'm sorry Jon, but I still don't think I can trust her, even if you're really related. Something just seems off about her.

Tikki: I can conquer with Nettie. Something isn't right with her. I'm not saying that you should walk away from her, just...be cautious.

Jonathan: Thanks, but really. We saw the chip markings on her neck and she needs a place to stay and help. My dad and I are teaching her right from wrong and helping re-establish her powers. Plus, my dad is Superman, I highly doubt Kara can take him down.

Marinette: As you said, I'll trust in you but be warned. If 'Kara' poses a threat, I'll take action. You can't see what I can do. She's shrouded in a cloud of Klarion's magic. And what's worse..I can't see her aura or get an idea of her thoughts. Something isn't right. But, I'll leave her in your "super" capable hands.

Jonathan: *chuckles* Love the pun... Trust me Net, we got this.

She heavily sighed as I pulled her into a hug. "I promise you..everything will be alright." She relaxed against me as the kwamis sat around us on the bed. I understand that Nettie is being cautious but..I can't turn a blind eye to my family. The Outsiders taught me that..
