"Ok class," Mr. Rexus started, clapping his hands together. "Today we are going to talk about an upcoming event." He said smiling. Karen and I look at each other. "As most of you know on the last day of school each year, the school holds a talent show." The class makes excited noises. I smile, I should do this. Then I look at Karen who is giving me the same look, we should do this. The class was getting pretty loud. "Class, settle down. If you want to sign up, I have the sheet here. Just come up anytime during this class period. Now for the rest of the period you can go on your phones, read, or work on work from other classes." He said, smiling before walking back to his desk. I turn to Karen.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" She asked. I nod and smile even more.

"Let's go sign up." I said, we both quickly got up and walked over to his desk.

"I was hoping you two would sign up. Are you guys gonna sing?" He asked, we both nodded. "Cool, what are you guys gonna sing." He asked. We both looked at each other.

"Um...we didn't really think that far." I said. He nods.

"Well you guys can sign up if you want right now. Not a lot of people can do the talent show." Karen and I both wrote our names down and walked back to our seats. When we got there we started chatting.

"What song could we cover?" She asks. I let out a sigh.

"I don't know, we can't cover something we've covered." I sat back in my chair. "So Behind The Sea is off the list, so is House of Gold." She sat back next to me.

"Why not House of Gold?" She asked. I picked at my nails and sigh.

"I covered it live once and they showed it on MTV." I said casually. Her eyes get big, then she laughed.

"I love the fact that you just casually said that. Like ohhh it's just MTV, no big deal." She mocked. I laughed and punched her arm.

"I do not sound like that." I say laughing. She starts to laugh too. "But seriously, we need a song if we want to win." I say. She calms down.

"I honestly don't know. We can't play anything from your band so that's off the list. Maybe MCR or fall out boy." She suggested. I hum in disagreement.

"Naaaaah I want to play a classic." She looks at me confused. "Listen." I said, sitting up in my seat. She did the same. "Why don't we go to my house after school, we have a music room with every instrument we need." I said. Her eyes got wide.

"Could I really come over!? Would Brendon be ok with me coming over?" She said still with her wife eyes.

"I'll talk him into it." I said. She giggles slightly. She then whispers something.

"I get to meet Brendon Urie." She whispers. I giggle. She giggles too. The bell rings and we pick up our back packs. We say goodbye and split up.

•AFTER SCHOOL•

After grabbing all the stuff we needed, we went to our usual waiting now stop. Karen was very jittery. Now we wait for Brendon. She's starting to ask questions. I take my backpack off and set it next to the tree.

"So what's your house like?" She asked, looking up at the sky. I hum.

"It's... kinda big. Musical, has a pool, two dogs. You'll like it." I said, playing with a rock. She looks at the road.

"Are you sure he'll be ok with me coming over? What if he thinks I'm a crazy fan of something." She said slightly worried. I look at her.

"Your over thinking it. Just think of it this way. Your human and he's human, he just makes popular music." I said, partially quoting my dad. She starts to laugh.
