ANOTHER FILLER CHAPTER SORRY.
I was woken up by a ray of sun hitting my eyelids. I rubbed my eyes and sat up. Pulling my blankets aside, I dropped to the floor. The bus must be at the next venue because I can't feel it moving. "Is that you Syd?" I hear Brendon say from the kitchen area."Yep" I say in a horse voice. I hear him whisper something then l clearly hear him whisper "I gotta go, she just woke up. Send me it when your done. Ok bye." I walk into the kitchen. "Morning kid." He said, closing his computer.
"Morning, who was that?" I said. Looking at his computer. He walks over and grabs a box of cereal. He handed it to me and grabbed his computer.
"Just a friend." He said. "Might want to get dressed soon, we have an interview at one. It's 12:30 right now." I drop my cereal box.
"Oh shit." I said and speed walked to my bunk.
"Language young lady." Brendon says in a singsong voice. I shush him. He giggles. I grab my suitcase and throw it open. I grab my Being Me The Horizon black muscle top with low arm holes and my ripped up dark red skinny jeans. Kenny and Dallon are fast asleep still so I just got dressed in the little hall between the bunks. After getting dressed I grabbed my phone and my black converse and walked out to Brendon.
"So where are we?" I said putting my my shoes. Brendon turned off his phone and sat next to me.
"Bluewood music festival, Arizona" He said. "We'll be performing here tomorrow afternoon, your birthday." I pause and sit up.
"Wait, I get to perform on my birthday?" I said excitedly. He smiles on and replies.
"Yep. It's that ok?" He said, pulling me to my feet. I smile and nod. He walks to the door, I follow. "Well, we better get going." He looked down at his phone. "We have twenty minutes, Don't want to be late." He held the door open for me and we both walked out. I was surprised when I walked out because I almost crashed into another bus. He giggles. "That's the thing about festivals kid, buses get pretty intimate. Follow me." I follow him down the line of buses full of musicians.
As we walked, I looked at the signs on the buses. I've heard a lot about some of these bands. Some of these bands, I even have their music on my iPod. I continued to scan the bus doors. Then, my eyes caught sight of a certain sign... I stop in my tracks. Twenty One Pilots, the band that kept me happy on some of my saddest days. The two men who motivated me to start playing more instruments are just a wall away from me. Brendon looked back at me and giggled a little. He walked over to me and put his arm around me.
"Do you want to meet them?" He said quietly. I nod, he smiled and leaned over and knocked on the door.
A few seconds later the familiar voice of Josh Dun yelled out, "who is it!" I look back to Brendon.
"It's Brendon." He yelled back. I smiled.
"Oh dude! Come on in!" Said the voice of Tyler Joseph.
Brendon opens the door and walked in before me. I walk in but they are too busy hugging to notice me. "Dude! Long time no see!" Tyler pulled away from the hug. "You got a new tattoo! It looks so sick!" He said "Wow is that an eye on the mid-" he stopped talking and looked at me. Brendon and Josh turned around also. Brendon looks at their faces and quickly walks over to me.
"Um guys. Judging by your reaction you probably haven't heard the news." He looked down at me and smiled. "This, this is my daughter." He said, putting his arm around me. The two men had a look of surprise on their faces.
"Dude! Who did you-" Josh started.
"Adopted daughter Josh, adopted." Brendon said. Tyler's face turned to a smile. "And if your gonna ask why I adopted, it's a long story." Brendon's said looking at me. Tyler looked down at me.
"So, what's your name?" He says nicely. I smile back.
"Sydney." I say. Brendon puts his arm around my shoulders.
"How old are you?" Josh says, walking over to us and next to Tyler.
"I turn 16 tomorrow." I say smiling. They both smile. Brendon's then pats my shoulder.
"You guys have to hear her sing, she is incredible. I think she even covered one of your songs live once." He says, smiling down at me. "Well, we better get going. We have an interview. Bye guys." He says letting go of me and stepping out of the trailer. I go to leave but Tyler grabs my arm and stops me.
"Happy early birthday" he said, handing me a CD. Blurryface. I never actually got the change to listen to it. My eyes open wide and I smile creeps to my face.
"Wow, thanks!" I say smiling. "I've been meaning to buy this, just with touring I never got the chance." I say. Before I got the chance to say anything else, Brendon yelled my name. "I gotta go." I say before rushing out of the trailer. They waved bye. After I left, I faintly heard one of them say "dude, Brendon's a dad now" I smiled and sped up my walked so I was with Brendon. He smiled at me and we continued walking.
•AFTER THE INTERVIEW•
The interview went pretty well. The guy was really nice. Afterwards, we took some pictures with some fans and signed some stuff for them. After having some conversations with some fans, Brendon said we had to go back the to bus. As we walked we talked about my birthday.
"So I was thinking." He said "tomorrow night, since it's your birthday, you could set up a set list of your favorite songs." He said, looking down at me.
"Any song from any album?" I say smiling. He smiles back.
"Any song from any album." He said. "Ten songs." He said, stopping at our bus.
"Well," I say, stepping on to the small step and pushing the door open. "I guess I better get my list together." I walked through to door. This is going to be the best birthday ever.
