A/N Hey Guys! I'm back from camp and I didn't die, yeaaaahhh. I wrote this chapter at camp so I'm sorry if it sucks.

"Good morning students!" Said the principle on the intercom. "As you all know, today is your final day of school." He said, the class exploded with excitement. "And since it's the last day of school, everyone gets to skip some classes and see a talent show. I have some information for anyone who is participating in this years talent show. We will need you to come down to the theater right after second period. As for everyone else, you will be called down during fourth period. Enjoy your day!" The intercom clicked off and Mr. Rexus walked to the front of the room.

"Ok class, I also have news." He clapped his hands together. "I will be hosting the talent show this year." He said happily. "So if you have any questions, just ask me. Moving on to today's assignment. I want you all to write a paragraph or two talking about your favorite moment that you have encountered in the past year. You all will be sharing in half in hour. You can begin now." Karen and I look at each other before reaching into our bags and getting out paper. I had to think for a while, a lot of things have happened in the last year. I was adopted, I joined my favorite band, I even got the chance to experience touring. Not every kid gets to experience the stress and the joy of being in a band. I never really thought I would, I always though growing up that I would just go to college and work in an office my whole life. Ok I'm getting off topic, what was my favorite moment? I thought for a little longer, then my favorite moment popped into my head again. I smiled and put my pen to the paper.

TEN MINUTES LATER•

"Ok times up!" Mr. Rexus said, I smiled down at my work. This is perfect, just looking at it brings back good memories. "I'll take volunteers first." He looked around the room, no one rose their hand. "Ok, looks like I'm going to have to call on you guys." He said, looking around the room. "Jimmy you up."  The guy named Jimmy sighs and walks to the front, nervous. His favorite moment of the year was when he met his girlfriend. The class awed. Rexus then called on most of the most of the class. Then he called on Karen, she nervously walked up to the front.

"My best moment of the year was when I met my best friend, Sydney. On her first day, she sat down next to me and complemented my shirt. Little did I know a few months later, she would be in that band. I was so surprised the day she told me about her adoption. That was my best moment of this year." She said, smiling at me. God I missed her. The whole class was looking at me. Mr. Rexus looked at me.

"That's really sweet Karen, since we are on the subject of Syd, why don't you go." He said looking at me. A lot of people smiled at me. I smile and stand up. I walk to the front of the class. This feels weird, I don't wanna be popular. Everyone was smiling and watching. Well everyone except for snippy little Rina and her little minions. I looked down at my paper and read it off.

"My favorite moment of the year was my birthday." I said, I looked up and read off the next part. "My dad had contacted a couple people who strongly inspire me. Before that, he and the guys made a slideshow of pictures of us. While that was playing, the guys covered The Only Exception by Paramore. It was literally the best day of my life and the best moment of my year." I said, people started to clap. This is weird. After I sat down, a few more people went, some of their moments were really cool. One girls was getting to see her dad come home from the army. The bell rang for second period and a few people left the class room. Luckily, I have second period in music again. Karen and I wait patiently for the class bell to ring.

Once it rang, Mr. Rexus walked up to the front again. "Ok class. for those of you who are in the talent show, this is your time to practice." He pointed to the two small rehearsal rooms. "For the vocals, I want you to practice in one of those. Drums, you practice in the other rehearsal room." Rina and I shoot death glares at each other like bullets. We have to share the same space, we hate each other. Jenny, who was singing with Rina stood there dazed and confused. Rina grabbed her arm and started dragging her in our direction. Jenny just giggled a little about it. I sigh and walk into the rehearsal room, Karen behind me. Rina stormed passed and shut the door. Karen and I took one end of the room and Jenny and Rina took the other. I tried to remember my warm ups that Brendon had taught me. I look down at Karen who was sitting against the wall.

"Do you happen to remember the last warm up that Brendon taught me?" I said quietly, hoping Rina didn't hear me. Karen looked at me weird.

"How should I know?" She said. I sigh.

"You were there." I said. She picks at one of the holes in her jeans, thinking.

"Wasn't it the one where you hold your tongue or something?" She asks. I shrug.

"I should of paid more attention." I said. She kicks my shoe repetitively. Rina speaks up from across the room.

"Well I don't need vocal warm ups." She said, looking at her phone. I snort.

"Just keep telling yourself that." I said before starting up on mine. She was shooting little glares at me as I do so.

"You think just because your in a band, you can win this." She said, standing up. "No one can pull off Bohemian Rhapsody, not even your dad." She said, crossing her arms. "Face it, you'll never make it." She said, walking close.

"I'm aloud to try right?" I said with a smirk, she glares at me for a minute before storming back to you place against the wall. Partly trying to be nice I asked her. "You know if you want, I could teach you some warm ups." She sits there glaring.

"I don't need them." She said stubbornly. I let out a sigh.

"Just a fact, I warm up for ten minutes before each show and I still strain my voice." I said, looking down at her. She was catching on to what I was getting at. "I really don't like you but I don't mind helping you. You can sing pretty well." She stops glaring and smirked off into the distance.

"I can, can't I." She said contently. "Sure why not. I really don't like you either." She said, standing up. I guess I'm gonna help my enemy.
