"Girls, girls wake up." I heard someone say. I feel my body shake and I slowly open my eyes, looking down at me was Brendon. He smiles down. "Morning Syd. Better get up, don't want to be late for school." He says before opening my curtain and leaving. I groan and try to roll over but someones body stopped me. Next to me laid Karen, still asleep. As I roll onto her she jolts up.

"I'm up I'm up I'm up." She said over and over again, sitting up fast. I sit up next to her. She rubs her eyes as I stand up. "Ahhhhh I don't wanna go to schoooll." She says dramatically.

"Oh come on." I say, grabbing her hands and pulling her out of bed. She groans and stumbles to her feet. "Let's go eat food." I said, her face lights up slightly. We walk out of my room and down the stairs. When we got down, we were greeted by Brendon. There he stood, making coffee. He was already dressed. God, how early does this man get up?

"Morning girls," he said in his morning voice. "I made toast." He said, sliding two plates across the counter. We both took a seat at the bar stools. "See? I'm getting this whole father thing down." He said giggling slightly. I giggle too.

"You certainly are." I took a big bite of my toast. After swallowing it, I spoke up. "Ok so in music today, we need to find someone to play guitar." I said, she nodded in agreement while she chews her toast. I stopped talking and continued to eat.

After we all finished eating, we got ready and started to walk out to the car, as I was speed walking to the car, my phone started to vibrate. I sigh and answer it not check who it was. I was surprised when the voice of an excited Charlie spoke up.

"Oh my god Syd, I have something really exciting to tell you." He says fast.

"Charlie can we talk later, im about to be late for school." I say, rushing into the car and shutting the door.

"No you don't understand, I'm mo-" I hung up the phone and put it back in my pocket, whatever it was can wait. Once we were all in the car, Brendon started the drive to school. The whole ride, I kept wondering. Will we find a guitarist? What if we can't find a guitarist? What if we can't perform? What if what if what if. I try to block out my thoughts and try to focused on the positive. Apparently my thoughts drowned out the drive because Karen had to shake me to tell me we were at school.

"Syd, Syd we're here." She said, shaking my arm. I shake out of my little daydream land. She giggles. "You okay? You looked a little...I don't know how to explain it." I smile back.

"Yeah, just a little nervous." I say, opening my door. Brendon rolls down his window and I kiss his cheek. "Love you." I say quickly before greeting Karen on the other side.

"Don't worry, we'll find someone for guitar." She said smiling. I sigh and we begin our walk to our first hour.

•SECOND PERIOD•

"Guys I'm sorry, I can't. I would love to but I can't learn a whole song in one day. Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the hardest songs too. I'm sorry I just can't." Said Jackson, our last resort for a guitar player. That's it, we're screwed. We sigh and lean back in our chairs as he goes back to our seat.

"We are so screwed." I say as I sigh. Karen looks over at me.

"Not necessarily, we still have five more periods to possibly find someone." She said hopefully, with a nervous smile. I snort and sit up.

"Are you kidding? Anyone who is musically talented is in this class. And who have we asked? All the guitar players in this class. Karen, We are screwed." I say, leaning back again. She groans and slaps her hand over her eyes. Suddenly my phone starts to vibrate again. I take it out of my pocket and answer it.

"Hello?" I say slightly annoyed. Once again an excited Charlie is one the other end of the line.

"Syd listen, this is veeeerrry important." He says. I sigh.

"Charlie not now, I'm kinda stressed o-" I start but he interrupts.

"Sydney, I'm moving to LA." He said. My heart literally stopped for a second. My face grows an ear to ear smile and I accidentally say my reply a little too loud.

"Oh my god! This is perfect! Why didn't you tell me!" I said, he giggled

"I tried if you didn't know." He replied happily. Then an idea popped into my head.

"Wait, then are you moving here." I ask hoping he will say the words I hope he's about to say.

"Well my family is traveling by plane today but-" I cut him off.

"Today?! So you will be here today!" I say.

"Yeah but-" I cut him off again. He plays guitar! He is our last hope.

"Listen, I need you to learn Bohemian Rhapsody on guitar. My school is having a talent show tomorrow and I reeeaally need a guitarist. So wou-" this time he cut me off.

"Sydney, I would love to but my stuff isn't going to be on the plane." He says. I pause, trying to think of something. "You know I would but my guitar is on the moving truck." Then something pops into my head.

"Wait! Charlie! When you get here, have your parents drive me to my house. My dad has extra guitars." I said excited. He gasped.

"Wait. I don't know where you live." He says.

"I'll text you the address." I say through the smile. I hear his small giggle.

"Well then, I guess I'll see you tonight." He said happily. I giggle.

"I guess You will." I say happily back. We both say goodbye and I excitedly look at Karen. "We just got ourselves a guitarist." I said happily. She smiles and sits up.

"Your kidding." She said. I shake my head. "Oh my god! This is perfect!" She said, leaning over and hugging me tightly. After she pulled away she sat back again. "We could win this." She said. As she freaked out, I sent Charlie my address. As if he heard us talking about the talent show, Mr Rexus walked to the front of the class.

"Alright class, here in my hands I hold the list of acts at this years talent show. I have cut it down only to the names of the people in our class." He said, the class let burst out in excitement. "Now now, calm down." He paused, waiting for everyone to calm down. "Oh so in this class we have Rina and Jenny singing... Toxic." The class giggled. Rina and Jenny shot death glares across the class. "Then we have Mark and Davis having a drum battle." The class looked at he two boys, one was smirking twirling a drumstick. "And last but not least, we have Sydney and Karen singing... What are you two singing?" He asked us.

"We will be singing," I paused. "Bohemian Rhapsody." After saying that, we got a hurricane of surprised looks from the class.

"Girls, you are aware that that is one of the hardest songs to sing. Not many people can pull that off." I nod my head.

"We're aware of that." Before I could say anything else, I was cut off by Rina.

"Sir! This is not fair! Her dad is a professional singer, she basically has a vocal coach at home! He probably is training them. It's not fair at all!" She said, angrily. Mr Rexus sighs.

"Rina, your overreacting. Plus, there's no rule against vocal training." He says, she sighs and crosses her arms. "Now class, this is the last day to sign up. Does anyone else want to sign up? Just remember, we have to have all the performers in each act." All the performers? I shoot my hand up. "Yes Sydney?"

"We have two other people performing with us." I said. "We have Dan Pawlovich and Charlie Westan." He hums.

"Sounds like a plan. Anyone else?" He said.
