I'm back with Part 2 of the Open series. NSFW! 😜

Taraji wasted no time calling her friend Mary. “Bitch, I just saw the woman from the club last night, looking even finer in a simple t-shirt and jeans. It gotta be fate, right?”

“Hello to you too, friend,” Mary said while laughing. Taraji was seriously hooked on a woman she was too afraid to even approach last night. “My bad. Hey, sis! Now back to what I was saying.” Mary kept laughing. “Did you stalk her? Is that how you saw her again?” Mary asked, but Taraji could hear the teasing in her tone, and she also heard Regina laughing in the background. She knew those two would be together; that's why she only dialed one of them.

“Fuck you, Mary. I’m trying to be serious.” Taraji whined like a toddler. "And Regina ain't shit that funny."

“How did you just happen to cross paths with her? And did you at least say hello, because last night you were scared shitless?” Regina asked; she needed some answers.

“First off, I've never been afraid to approach any woman. Secondly, I not only spoke to her; I asked her for her number. She curved me, though. We bumped into each other at the grocery store.” Taraji tried to speed past being spurned. She chuckled to herself. Fantasia had literally run into her; she almost had them both on the floor. Taraji wasn't complaining, though. She got to hold Fantasia close and even felt the other woman's smooth, warm skin.

“Wait a minute. Let’s back up. Taraji Penda Henson got rejected.” Mary burst into laughter. That did not happen often, if at all. She couldn’t remember a time when a woman turned her friend down. Taraji rolled her eyes even though Mary couldn't see her. She should have known that her not getting Fantasia's digits would be the part that Mary would zero in on. “Maybe because she already has a situation.” Regina chimed in again, trying to soften the blow of Taraji's rejection. Taraji hadn’t even thought about that.

Mary changed the subject, although she knew Taraji’s mind would be on the other woman for a while. Taraji believed in connections and vibes. She wasn’t interested in someone just for their looks. Appearances didn’t hurt, but chemistry was a must. She had felt a strong bond when her eyes connected with Fantasia’s last night, and it became even stronger from their interaction at the store.

After not getting the groceries to cook, Fantasia just ordered some food since it would only be her and Kendall. When her husband arrived home, there was an awkward tension in the air. They ended up eating in silence. Kendall wanted an answer about his proposal, but he didn’t want to push or force Fantasia into anything. He didn't want to come off as too eager.

After dinner, the couple lay in bed, tossing and turning uncomfortably. Fantasia sat up and told her husband that she would try the open marriage thing as long as they attended therapy and set some rules. She was probably opening the door to a world of trouble, but there was no turning back now.

Kendall was bursting with excitement. He would agree to anything after hearing Fantasia say that they could try to have an open marriage. He already had his first conquest in mind. The desire to fuck this other person had been what led him to the idea of an open marriage in the first place.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you." Kendall said as he kissed Fantasia all over her face. "You won't regret this, baby. It'll be good for us." But Fantasia was low-key already regretting it. She wanted to make her husband happy, but he was almost too damn happy. And it bothered her a bit.
