Hey, my lovelies. This is another lengthy one. The spice is brief, but it's there, so NSFW. Enjoy! 😘

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Taraji was tired of the back and forth. It had been three years of ups and downs, breakups, and makeups. And she was mentally and emotionally exhausted. She appreciated Gabby for taking a chance on her in the beginning, but their relationship had run its course. The toxicity of it was draining. Taraji no longer felt the need to put in the effort when all she did was get shitted on. The entire situation was maddening and driving her insane.

Taraji had been young and stupid in her early twenties, which landed her in trouble with the law. But since getting out of her short stay in prison, she'd changed her life for the better. She had a stable job and gave her entire paycheck to her girlfriend, Gabby, but that still wasn't good enough. They broke up so many times Taraji had lost count. But foolishly, she had always gone back, encountering the same bullshit over and over.

Gabby belittled Taraji at every turn and then got mad when Taraji tried to move on. She would break up with her and then call her a cheater if she even talked to another girl. Gabby felt as though she could do as she pleased during their breaks, but Taraji wasn't allowed to do the same. The cycle was toxic, but it was what Taraji had become accustomed to. It would be different this time, though. No going back. It became like a daily mantra to Taraji.

"Fuck!" Taraji yelled when someone hit her car. She was parked, trying to work up the nerve to go into a meeting that she had been invited to. It was for an organization called Chainbreakers. They helped ex-cons get back on their feet. She hated thinking of herself as a convict, but it was a title she couldn't escape, whether she was in jail or out. Gabby had definitely never let her forget it.

Taraji got out of her car to assess the damage. The person in the other car got out as well to do the same. "Oh my God. I'm so sorry. I was on the phone." The woman apologized profusely. "Damn," Taraji groaned when she saw the new dent. She wasn't really trippin' because her car already looked like it belonged in a junkyard. But it got her where she needed to go.

"Are you okay?" The woman asked. Taraji finally looked up at her. "Damn, you're fine. I mean, yeah, I'm fine. My car ain't though." Taraji kept her eyes on the other woman.

"I'm sorry again. I'll give you my insurance information. I'm Fantasia, by the way." Taraji glanced over the woman's body some more. It was like she was caught in a trance. Fantasia was fine as fuck. "That's okay. I'm in a rush. And as you can see, my car has been through worse." Taraji said and walked off. Fantasia watched her scurry away hastily. She was disappointed that the woman hadn't at least offered up her name in return.

Taraji talked briefly to her friend who invited her to the meeting and then took a seat. The next thing she knew, the woman who had hit her came walking in. She garnered so much attention from everybody in the room. Has she been to jail too? Taraji wondered. Fantasia definitely didn't seem like the type to have any run-ins with the law.

Fanasia introduced herself to the newcomers and explained what the program entailed. Taraji was intrigued, both by the woman and the aspect of a better life that Chainbreakers could provide for her. She knew she could be good at real estate. She had no issues selling other people a dream. And she was a magician with money and numbers. Taraji was impressed when she learned that Fantasia was a lawyer. Beauty, body, and brains.
