"As summer whispers goodbye"

As summer whispers its final goodbyes,
Another chapter closes, a book nearly written.
These last six months, a storm of trials—
Yet here I stand, with strength unbidden.

From June's soft light to August's embrace,
I ache for the love that time cannot erase.
The echo of our texts, the glow of video calls,
Silent joy in your presence, as the evening falls.

Simple dinners, nights wrapped in your arms,
Cuddles that ward off the world's alarms.
In these six months, I've turned to the divine,
Battling the urge to leave it all behind.

But my heart, steadfast, knows the way—
For love like ours will never stray.
Each day apart is a trial of faith,
But I know in the end, you are worth the wait.
