Good morning, I say, to the empty space beside me,
Your side of the bed, still warm with lingering dreams.
The aroma of bacon and eggs fills the morning air,
A beautiful Sunday unfolds with gentle sunlight beams.
I climb out of bed, drawn by the inviting scent,
To find you setting the table with your beautiful messy hair.
Your dog wags her tail, a picture of joy and content,
You greet me with a warm kiss, "Good morning, honey bear."
We sit and talk enjoying our blissful Sunday without a care.
