"September, October, November, December"

As I lay in bed, my thoughts a storm,
Of futures unwritten, of paths unknown.
Tomorrow's a mystery, a canvas of dreams,
How exciting it feels, as it quietly gleams.

I remember the date, September 3,
Scrolling through profiles on EHarmony.
A second chance at love, at finding what's real,
There you were, making me feel.

With faith, we started, two souls aligned,
A connection so pure, yet undefined.
Your number you offered, with effortless grace,
Not even a week, and my heart found a place.

Through September's winds and October's chill,
Our lives were busy, but time stood still.
November passed, and December came near,
At last, we set a date, both eager, sincere.

Universal rides and butterbeer,
The nervous excitement was perfectly clear.
We laughed, we shared, the day a dream,
But I wondered, what could this mean?

I asked my friend as the night grew late,
"What do you think? Should I just wait?"
He smiled and said, "Let time unfold,
What happens will happen, just be bold."

I got home, still wondering what's next,
Then came your message, another text.
Another date, another chance to see,
Where this journey would lead you and me.
