~Time Skip: Katie and Melissa's wedding day~

Melissa's POV:

Today I'm marrying my best friend today. Katie was the one who was always there for me. She has been since the beginning. And today I'm committing my life to her. "Melissa? It's time." Chyler says as she enters the room. "I'm all set!" I reply. "You look beautiful." Chyler said. "Thank you. Let's go!" I reply as we walk out of the room and get lined up. My sisters are going out first then Chyler...then me. I stand there and watched them walk down the aisle to the music we chose for them. Then it's my turn. I hear 'perfect' by Ed Sheeran play and the doors open up. Katie looks so beautiful!

Katie's POV:

Oh my god! Melissa looks absolutely stunning! She's beautiful! I am so lucky to be marrying this goddess of a woman. Tears in my eyes as she approaches me, turns and faces me. "Welcome! We're gathered here today to witness the beautiful union of one Melissa Benoist and Katie McGrath. These two started off as friends...and slowly a mutual love grew between them and got them to this point. Now I believe that the women have both written their own vows.." The preacher trails off looking at us as we both nod. I nod giving Mel the go ahead to say hers first.

"Katie...where do I even begin...you were the one who always stood beside me ever since we met. You were the one I came to when things got bad...when I first told you everything I thought you'd run for the hills..but you didn't. You stayed by my side and helped me through everything. Katie...you saw me at my complete lowest..and never walked away. I often find myself thinking about how we got here. From friends...to lovers..to girlfriends...and being engaged...to now...getting married. Had I known that...that first call I made you when everything started with the person before you...that it would lead here... that all it would take was to burst into racking sobs as you held on to me...would get me here to this barn..to marrying my best friend...then I'd done it a long time ago.

From the outside looking in we seem to have the perfect relationship...but they don't know about your obsession with extra cheesy scrambled eggs...or how you like to be the little spoon when we sleep...or how when your concentrating on something...whether it be a puzzle, a book or a script you furrow your eyebrows together and the tip of your tongue sticks out..just  enough so that if you really pay attention you notice it..but if you just look your way you don't...

What I'm trying to say..is Katie...I love everything about you...I can't wait to marry you...and start our family...I love you Katie."

Melissa's POV:

I finish my vows and look at Katie who's wiping her eyes. 'I love you..' Katie mouths to me. Katie clears her throat and looked at me as she took a deep breath.

"Melissa...god how the heck do I top that... When you came to my house that first night...I knew I would do everything in my power to protect you from the person before me...and I did...I supported you, stood by you..held you..and dealt with your strange obsession with coffee creamer...why you can't just drink it black...like a normal person..is beyond me...but its just one of the things that make you....you...

Every day I wake up in your arms is my favorite day...every day I find new things about love about you...from the way you silently sing along to musicals we watch...to the way you went waaaay over board when we brought Oisin home. I can only imagine how you'll be when we have our children...I know one thing our children will be extremely lucky to have you as their mom...the same way I'm lucky to have you as my wife...

If someone had told me when I signed on for Supergirl...I'd not only meet my best friend...but she'd also turn out to be my everything all in one..I would have told them that they were crazy! But here you are...standing in front of me listening to me rattle on and on about how amazing you are and how much I love you...so Mel....I love forever and always..."

No One's POV:

Katie finished her speech and the preacher pronounced them 'Wife and Wife!' The wedding was beautiful...and the reception amazing...

As they danced together in the middle of the dance floor after everyone left Melissa took this opportunity to tell her something she'd been keeping to herself all night. "Katie...I feel safe in your arms..."
